Was a great series but after defeating Makoto Shishio it went down hill. I never really got into the movies.

I read the manga and watched HK versions. Never saw it on CN. I really enjoyed the first movie (Samurai X?) I just liked seeing him be the batousai for some reason.

Really loved this anime. One of my favorites, and one of my firsts, too. I watched it on CN like 5~6 years ago and I watched all the movies soon after. Wuz a lot younger then, so the Reflection movie had me nearly crying. I loved the first 2 Ova's :D

very violent though. But nice movies. RK is awesome.

the first arc between Kenshin And Makoto Shisio is the best part..

mean while the ova give us a more flashback and sad memory of a battosai.....

RK anime was in my top list until i read the manga, that's when i forgot all about the anime !!! its manga is definitely the best manga of all time ( in my opinion ;) ) the storyline, the plot the characters the dialogue ... more than PERFECT!

I still remember some lines like; ( once I say I'll kill you, all you can do is ... DIE ), ( your life as a swordsman is over, and in a moment so will your life as a human being) ... cool isn't ? not to mention the best of all, the mibu's wolf Saitou Hajime !!!!

guys, i really suggest reading the manga... the arc after Shishio in the anime is a filler! and the REAL rurouni kenshin starts after in the manga.. don't miss it!

I own the series, bought it a long time ago when it was still airing on Cartoon network, it's one of favs. I didnt care for the movies though, they were too serious for my liking.

not really, they're too depressing, and attempt to be way too deep, but thats just my own opinion =P

I didn't watched a lot of him. I saw two movies tho... The one about Kenshin's past, the other about some terrorists...
But i did read manga about Kenshin. Not spin-offs =)
And i agree - this is amazing piece of art.
I enjoyed reading it, and i'm glad that i did =)

But when Samurai X were shown on TV - Dub was erm not so great. And i didn't really liked fillers some parts so i couldn't watched it =)

The first OVA is amazing, but don't watch the second one!

It is horrible and it gives you a depressing false story totally different from the manga. Read the manga for the arc after Shishio and for the true ending.
