Speculation re: Yet ANOTHER Character: Amuro Tooru

since this Amuro detective has appeared in 2 issues already, so we can say that he's going to become a semi-important character in DC. (which adds to the confusion of the whole series)
the way he wanted to become Mouri's assisant so much seems fishy...
Any thoughts on him?

I guess I have my own theory, which finally makes sense.

I don't think that Amuro is Bourbon, while I agree that Tooru was Scar Akai.

We have to check again, why the hell did Scar Akai even appear? To attract the FBI? What for? To attract Conan and co.? Maybe, but again, why? If he was a BO member suspecting Kogoro (after file 500 and stuff, Mouri is a suspect of the BO) why would he aimlessly walk around in Kogoro's area? Did he expect Kogoro and co. to recognise and help him?
I think the Scar Akai thing was the bait fo the BO. Okiya's comments make more sense this way (to me at least) in file 704. I'm assuming he is Akai, just so you know. So, he said that the wolves lost their easy prey. He couldn't mean himself, nor Conan or Kogoro. Okiya said he was expecting someone to be Scar Akai, but he was mistaken. From this I came to the conclusion, that he might have thought that he saw Bourbon, but then realized that Scar Akai cannot be Bourbon, but someone else.
I think Amuro is someone else, anything but Bourbon. Btw. what happened to the theory that Bourbon might be a female, because when Kir referred to Bourbon as a male, but Gin was like back then.

Regarding the recent cases, it seems like Amuro's full attention and focus is on Kogoro and I doubt that he suspect Conan more than average. He probably knows hat Conan is a smart boy, the Kaito Kid articles more or less prove this, but if you look carefully, Amuro is almost never really paying attention to Conan. All those who suspected Conan to be more than a smart kid, for example Heiji, Eisuke and Sera made Conan to reveal himself, by letting him talk, take charge of the case, they asked foe his opinion etc..

Well, I think his character and personality are OK but I pretty much dislike his character design, mostly his hairstyle. While he has a good-looking face just like many other male characters, his hairstyle (IMO) does seem effeminate at times. Especially at the direct front-face angle (OK I don't know the correct term for this), where his hair seems a little longer than with other angles (not every scenes though).

Also, I think that his hair-color doesn't really match his skin-color (whether it's brown, silver or blond). I don't know what he would look like in the anime version.

I still like this guy however....
