yeah, I have nothing else to say except it's a masterpiece without any doubt.

Re: Welcome to the NHK!
I like the anime better than the manga (never read the novel). But Yamazaki rules the universe either way.

Superman = Captain America > Aquaman = Hal Jordan > Wonder Woman > Barry Allen > Thor > Martian Manhunter > The Hulk > Wasp > Hawkeye > [power gap] > Iron Man = Batman > [power gap] > Hank Pym

Definitely one hell of a complete series... The plot twists are definitely effective... The series has definitely shown the lives of people who are Hikikomori, Otaku and Gamer with some extent of realism...

Re: Welcome to the NHK!
I watched the first two episodes....wow, it's so strange and idiotic...but still enticing enough for me to watch it - I feel kind of sad for these characters, which I think is the ultimate connection for fans to like characters, they need to be human and have flaws.
I'm watching it on youtube and I'm kind of laughing because every comment I see is "I'm a hikikomoru too!" or "I'm a NEET as well", it's definitely depressing in some aspects.
EDIT: and the opening is awesome, I dunno what type of genre it is..some sort of jazzy/pop style?

it's a really nice song. Only way I can think of to describe it really. Different from anything I can think of.

Re: Welcome to the NHK!
I only watched the first episode...it was enough for me to like it!!!!It's interesting to see a manga which is focused on a real problem of society...the main character is completly weird but I love that^^it's really different from all the mangas I read...and the music in the ending is...special

I can really relate on the "Kidult" thing presented by the series. And I'm very well aware of the existence of some persons in real life that kinda resembles the way of life of Sato...

You are absolutely right, my god, this series unexpectedly is probably one of the best animes I have ever watched.kkslider5552000 wrote: well for the first time in my life, I want to hug fictional characters

All the characters, are so vivid and have human-like personalities, and their struggles just beckon me to keep watching more; I love all the characters! They all have flaws, but there's no one "thing" that makes me dislike them, which I don't think has ever happened for me in a series. The hardships and just how realistic everything was made me love this show; there's no sugarcoating with beefy/intelligent/powerful protagonists.

KKslider, Coolkid, I have to give you my respects for recommending me this series, uncharacter-like for me to be saying this, but thank you.

Sorry for the misuse of the term. I must have been referring more on the character twist rather than plot.ranger wrote:CoolKid3 wrote: Definitely one hell of a complete series...
