something has bothered me about that last chapter in volume 24 but I am wondering if it is just that the translation is not exact..
In the second to last page (showing Chris Vineyard/Belmot), the dialogue is translated as the following (for the context -- this happens after the room that Pisco was in was on fire and Conan carried Haibara out of it on his back):
Belmot: By the way, did you take notice of the boy with that girl...
Gin: Yes, the boy that carried her, I want to see him again...
Belmot: That look on his face...
It seems from the translation of this page, and the page before, that Gin and Vermouth (well obviously Vermouth) definitely know Haibara was shrunk (and that girl was her) and at this point Vermouth seems to recognize the boy as Shinichi as the one who saved her in the NY case.
How is it that Gin has not searched for that boy (Conan) by now who rescued Haibara, since Gin obviously really wants to kill her? (Does he just have a really poor memory?) It sort of seems after this ordeal Gin figures out she used APTX to shrink herself, which would mean he had no idea the drug could do it? -- So either Gin was never told the true purpose of the drug (that it was designed to shrink people) OR Haibara was telling the truth that the shrinking was a side-effect rarely seen in early tests? Really confusing...

Re: V24-11 -- the pisco case
Just a bit of a bad translation is what's causing your confusion.
V:Â More importantly, aren't you interested in the man who was with that girl (komusume implying teen age)
G: Ah, the man who rescued her (took her in his arms). I want to see it, his face.
V:Â Yeah, the look of terror on his face when he dies, eh?
They say "man", not "boy". So, likely what's being implied is that Gin did not see Conan, nor really hear the conversation between Conan and Pisco very well, but figured out there was a man there who rescued Sherry. Also their use of "ko-musume" implies they don't know Sherry was shrunk.

Not sure if the scene is the same as the anime, but the "man" Gin refers to is probably Conan using random_adultmale.voice on his bowtie after trying to tranq Gin. He never saw Conan's face, but heard him using the adult male voice.

This is a question I think should be put into attention. At the time conan was explaining the case to pisco what WAS gin and vodka doing? If they were smart gin would have immediately jumped into the chimney and vodka went to the door. The only reason I thought of for the delay was that vermouth suddenly stopped gin and vodka and told them about the film and cameraman. After all they would not have checked the internet right away since they did not bring a laptop and was hurying to get to the hotel. Any thoughts guys?

Conan used his tranquilizer watch on Gin, remember? Even though Gin saved himself from losing consciousness by shooting his arm, it's not unreasonable to think he was still incapacitated, recovering from the pain of the gunshot wound if nothing else, while Conan confronted Pisco.VideoFan9864 wrote: This is a question I think should be put into attention. Maybe Gin should have ordered Vodka to go down the chimney (or was Vodka too chunky to do that)...

The bigger question is - Why Gin was decending from roof so long?VideoFan9864 wrote: This is a question I think should be put into attention. I meant that Ai fell from roof and landed right away.
Then Conan encounter Bisik, put room on fire, rescue Ai, run away. And only after that Gin get out of the chimney.
It could be two things.
Gin listened all conversation. It means that he knows that Conan aware of BO. Or at least a witness to Bisik crime. He knows that boy's name is Edogawa Conan. And he porbably saved Ai.
Or...
Gin didn't listened at all. He was busy climbing down, with injured hand and didn't pay any attention to anything. Means he was slow.
