But shouting at the players during serve! Where the hell do you think you are, Conan!? FLUSHING MEADOWS?? :-*
Lol, us tennis players can find a lot of flaws in these files. BTW, did you read my comment about the serve positions? The balls clearly in the service box were marked out, which means that she was serving to the wrong side, but the crowd would have noticed she was doing it on purpose if she did.

How do you all think Conan will manage prevent the bear bomb from exploding? If the past cases are an indication, Hades can and probably will remotely detonate the bomb. A timer wouldn't work since the length of the match is not known and Hades wishes to detonate it at the end of the match. There are two basic options, one is to try to sneak the bomb away from Juno and put it somewhere where it will detonate harmlessly. The other option is to try to disarm the bear bomb.
The rain may play into this somehow and perhaps also any breaks where people move about - if there are any.

Conan may be able to crawl to Juno's seat without getting seen by the culprit especially if he picks a distracting moment to move from the stands to the seats. Conan will have to assume/figure out the culprit is somewhere on the opposite side or far away so he can escape the explosion. Conan could get Juno to set the bag down at her feet, cut the bomb from the bear, sneak away with the bomb, and have Juno pick the bear up again so Hades still thinks the bomb is with her. The drawbacks are that Conan needs sneak by the seats and alert Juno and Ares without them or any of the other spectators noticeably looking down and giving away Conan's presence.

Another question is how will Conan determine who the culprit is. The most likely option is to watch for people looking at Juno instead of the match.

"Hang in there" might mean to prolong the set as much as possible, strategically winning and losing points and games to buy Conan time. Quoting from Wikiepdia: "A game consists of a sequence of points played with the same player serving, and is won by the first player (or players) to have won at least four points by two points or more over their opponent." Basically a game will continue until someone gets two points consecutively. A game can be prolonged by alternately winning a losing points.
Sets and games are similar to games and points. Typically there are six games in a set, and "an advantage set is played until a player or team wins six games and that player or team has a two game lead over their opponent(s). The set continues, without tiebreaker, until a player or team wins the set by two games. Advantage sets are still used in the final sets in Men's & Women's draws in singles of Wimbledon."

@Chekhov
Spoiler: 750
In order to pick her mother out from the crowd, Minerva lobs the ball up really high, almost too high.

Go from there.

As far as disarming the bomb, no clue.  Just figured he'd catch Hades by surprise before Hades could push the switch and that'd be that...  But of course it couldn't be that simple...  Right?

Leave it to you to realize the gaping hole in my thoughts. :P Conan's watch gun is still in order. Darting Hades would probably be easier than getting the bear bomb because it would be relatively easy to sneak up on Hades as he will be focused on Juno and the court rather than behind him. Conan just has to figure out who he is. The ball lob could be the way to find Hades because if he is watching Juno, he won't follow the motion like the others spectators. If you want to make things complicated, I suppose there could be a dead man's switch to worry about, but who knows if Gosho will choose to do something that complicated.
It's strange that Hestia was mentioned previously yet there are no indications that she has any involvement in the recent affairs. Maybe she really is dead, but why bother mentioning her at all? Mystery lady hasn't appeared recently either, and Diana is just camping out by herself. It would be un-Gosho-like for all the characters to be red herrings.

Right, well assuming this is going to stretch out to France (which is 99% likely, given Aoyama's research took him there, and that this is the "European chapter"), GinRei's bet is that Mystery Lady is Yukiko, who will conveniently be able to take her relative Conan off of the Mouris' hands take him to France (and provide Conan with some means of getting back to Japan without reverting to Shinichi (or, at the end of whatever the case in France is an express mail will come from Haibara, along with a note saying "BAKA!!!  >:("), and also Yukiko will be able to account for Disappearing Shinichi.

Of course that was way in the beginning of this, before Aoyama inserted "tee hee there's a ShinRan scene that I'm alluding to that you didn't see yet!"  So we'll see how that goes.

As far as Hestia and Diana go...
Spoiler:
For all we know, Hestia had plastic surgery too, and is now Diana aka Anokata, whom they pursue into France!  :o

Otherwise Hestia's "death?" is thrown in there for the "Akai=dead?" clue.

It's hard to believe that next chapter will be the resolution... I mean I expected kind of action twist with Hestia, appearing of mysterious woman, Hades' attack on Conan... But what really can happen in one file? Just catching the culprit, destroying the bomb, culprit's yelling about his motive... What else? On the other hand, I really don't want to see the resolution in 2-3 files. I'm too bored right now to wait another month.

Wow, it's really true,
Spoiler:
Hades hid the bomb inside that doll... -___-"
Just wondering what will they do to Hades. And who will get the credit for that? I hope it would be Conan, because the story will really develop if he becomes fabulous. If it just goes to Kogoro again, nothing would change. But I believe it will be Conan. Minerva and Apollo know that he's the "Holmes' Apprentice". And Kogoro even hardly ever spoke Engrlish. And if later in France he do it again... well, a Japanese child who solved two cases in Europe??? That would be a development!

Hope that the BO will find that out. Gin should remember that boy with eyeglasses whom he and the other BO members saw at the Mouri Detective Agency during their failed assassination attempt to Mouri (And he failed to kill Conan that's why his selective amnesia wouldn't be a reason not to remember Conan). That would be another development. But the odds are low, I guess.

Spoiler:
I think Conan already told Apollo to look for someone pointing a cammera at his mom. Either that, or he told Apollo that's how he's gonna find the culprit. Also, she could win some points and then lose some on purpose so that the games are extended, but the other player is not her puppet. She's actually a Wimbledon finalist, so she wouldn't be that easy to manipulate. I mean, Minerva can lose on purpose, but she probably can't win at will.

Yes, the outs in the service box at the sidelines are so far off it's ridiculous. At least so many times. Of course one also cannot hits lets purposefully. The worst part to me was what Ran said when they showed the service profile and the profile itself. It never shows outs, let alone lets, no one cares about those. Actually most people would think she is throwing the match. Correctly. It would have been awesome is she had been warned after the thousandth let, á la Kolya. ;D

Dude, if Gosho turns this match into Isner-Mahut to buy time, I will rip of my gentleman sausage and feed it to him.  :'(

Oh yeah, i forgot that they only show first and second serves in the profile. If they know she's throwing the match, why are they still cheering for her?

well she's doing better now, and as long as there's possibility of winning, i'd also still cheer for my favourite player. :P

i guess if Minerva lobs the ball up really high, then everyone's heads will follow the motion of the ball except Minerva's mother (who can't see) and the culprit (who only cares about blowing up his bomb). in that way it might be possible to pick them out. still, realistically, isn't it really hard to do that among thousands and thousands of people? :/ I hope Gosho has a smarter answer than I could think of. :P

and just to be nitpicky, I always thought British people say Mum rather than Mom!

They do.  That's why we think Hades may be American.

That, or Aoyama messed up.

However, he got "Mum" correctly with Apollo.

i don't think Minerva was telling Conan Hades' message word for word, though. I thought she was throwing out key words to help Conan figure out the gist of the message, and in that case she would be using her own words.

may have been a slight mistake on Gosho's part then, since he got it right before.

Oops, I was speaking of Hades' internal monologue

Which turns out was in the previous file to this one *self-facepalm

Perhaps Minerva decided "Mom" was more unambiguous than "Mum" (which could be a flower  ;D)
