Hunger had taken everyone over by the time they returned to the town, stomach were grumbling, and the group realized they had been there for several hours already without noticing. Way too much had happened to take any note to how much time had passed, two people had died within that time. Distrust was growing between them, everyone afraid of getting an axe in their neck or getting eaten by a candy monster. Then there was the problem with Bill, it was impossible to know what he was planning to really do with them.
The town seemed like it had once been a small and comfortable town, it seemed like a disaster had hit out of nowhere, leaving the town destroyed and abandoned. Though it wasn't completely empty, all sort of weird creatures seemed to be around, everything from tiny golf ball creatures to a giant goat that seemed to eat anything it could find, but there wasn't a single human in sight.
“I think I saw a convenience store close to where the bus crashed, there might be something to eat there.” Dumytru commented as his stomach grumbled hungrily, he was getting so hungry that it hurt. That one sentence made everyone liven up for the first time since Gordan had been eaten, the big pine tree the bus had crashed into was within sight and everyone started running, desperate to find something to eat.
The convenience store, Dusk 2 Dawn, was just a few meters away. The lights were on, the doors were open and the store looked really inviting, which made the group hesitate, nothing in this town seemed to safe, but their hunger won over reason. Everyone hurried inside, immediately finding some shelves with canned food which they threw themselves over.
Once she had sated the worst of her hunger with a can of Brown Meat and half a box Chipackerz, Cinamon started to look around the store while she kept munching the Chipackerz. Furniture was dusty as if no one had been in the store for ages, which wasn't very surprising considering the state of the town but what did surprise her was two chalk outlines next to each other on the floor. With a gulp she carefully made sure not to walk on the markings as she walked pass them. “I think someone was murdered here!”
SA took a deep breath, trying to shake off the uncomfortable feeling in their gut. Maybe it had been a bad idea to walk into the store, no place seemed safe in this place. But the group was already here and while they couldn't make a base here, they could still take the food. With that in mind, they started scouting the store for food, but soon tripped on something that seemed hard but soft at the same time. As it turned out they had tripped on a leg that stuck our from around a corner, SA felt their heart speed up as they crawled around the corner, the sight made him scream in panic.
The rest of the group came running and stopped in shock as they saw Kleene motionless on the floor, her pupils dilated, mouth wide open with some suspicious pink substance around her lips. On trembling legs Absol approached Kleene and leaned down to check her pulse. “She has a pulse... She's still alive.” Everyone let out relaxed sighs.
Looking around, Yuri noticed a stand of Smile Dip next to Kleene and she grimaced, it wasn't off that she was passed out as she was. The rumours she had heard about the brand was insane, it had even been banned in several countries. “Lets just let her rest for awhile, I think she's just extremely high on sugar...” she shook her head and decided to check out more of the store. Close to the exit she found a TV that had an old pixel-based game on. A girl in a Japanese high school uniform was standing in the middle of the screen, sadly staring down at the ground, her eyes were full of pain while her pink hair blew in the wind.
“What are you looking at?” Raven asked from behind Yuri and walked up next to her. She blinked as she saw the screen. “Wow, she looks sad.” Yuri shrugged at her comment and said that they should focus on getting food before walking off, but Raven felt drawn to the screen. She wanted to make the girl happy again, even though it was just a video game character. “Why are you so sad?” she asked, more to herself than to anyone else.
“I was... deeply hurt by someone I loved more than anything. He attempted to kill me.” the girl said with a sad smile. Raven jumped in shock, but then realized that game hadn't answered her, it was just part of the script, but it was an odd coincidence that she started talking after she had asked that question.
“That is a cruel fate, I wonder how she survived...” she shrugged, she didn't have time for this, there were important things to do. Just as she was about to leave, the girl suddenly smiled happily.
“Bill saved me, in exchange for a future favour. My name is Giffany, what's yours?” Raven stared at the screen in disbelief, the video game character actually talked to her, the girl's sadness seemed to have faded away rather quickly.
“I'm called MoonRaven.” Raven said in an uncertain tone, not really sure what to think. A video game character that was able to talk directly a real person should be more shocking than this, but after the last few hours, this seemed perfectly normal.
“You seem to be a nice person, not someone who would suddenly decide to kill me for liking you.” The girl looked very serious as she stared through the screen. “Will you keep me company-” she suddenly glitched and Raven wasn't able to hear exactly what the girl said. “Please, be my friend.” Giffany's eyes were pleading and she put her hand against the screen as if she was trying to reach out. Raven felt really uncomfortable and shook her head, she had to leave. This was getting weird.
Suddenly Giffany looked really mad. “You will be my friend.” The TV screen suddenly started to give off weird sparks and green lightning. “You will join me here, in the game. Just touch the screen and you will be downloaded, then we will be together forever.” Raven was just about to turn around and run, when someone behind her gave her a powerful push, right into the screen. Raven screamed in pain as her body came into contact with the sparks from the TV, then suddenly the pain was gone. Slowly she opened her eyes, not aware that she had closed them, the group was in front of her, surrounding something golden that she couldn't quite see, they all looked pale. She reached out but found a barrier that separated them.
“Guys. Hey, guys!” she called out. They turned around and gasped as they saw her. Raven gasped too as she saw what the group had been surrounded, it was a golden statue of her, slightly burned from the sparks from the TV. Suddenly someone put an arm around her, she flinched and turned to see who it was. It was Giffany who had an extremely creepy, possessive smile on her lips. Raven was stuck in the TV, while her body had turned into a golden statue. She couldn't return back.
MoonRaven (Kaito Kid - Yuusaku) died

Kleene still wasn't clear in her head and when she had seen the terrified Raven inside the TV she had been sure she was still hallucinating, that had been a rather mild hallucination compared to turning into several big mouldy onigiris that then punched Akonyl, who in turned into swarm of bees. But since everyone else had reacted to the sight too, so it obviously had to be real, and it was hard to ignore the statue, KL had after all turned into one when she died. The sound of a window breaking brought her attention to the front of the shop, a monster flew inside. She barely managed to withheld a shriek, this had to be a hallucination, it had to be. “W-what is that?” she pointed to it with a trembling hand.
Turning her attention away from Raven's statue, Cinnamon looked at whatever it was Kleene pointed to, her mouth opened wide. “It's a... giant eyeball with wings!” Everyone stared in shock as the eyeball flew inside and headed right towards them, making everyone run away, even though a woozy Kleene was dragged away by Dumytru. A weird light that surrounded Raven's statue came out from the eyeball's pupil, it then flew away with the statue.
“What do you think its going to do with her?” Yuri asked as the eye-bat disappeared out of sight with the statue. The group shook their heads in wonder. Getting used to the weird happenings, everyone managed to shrug it off rather quickly and keep gathering food, while making sure to avoid the TV.
Half an hour they had packed down various canned foods, snacks and drinks. “I still don't feel too well, didn't we pass a lake earlier? A quick dip might be just what I need.” The group agreed to go, hoping that the area around the lake would be relaxing and soothing.
It didn't take long to get there, and aside from some weird beavers, the lake seemed to be calm. Kleene shoved her head into the cold water while Yuri kept an eye on her since she still seemed to be unsteady on her legs, the Smile Dip really had taken a toll on her. But while the two of them seemed relaxed enough, the rest started giving each other accusing looks.
“I didn't see a trace of you when Kaito Lady was killed and MoonRaven was captured in the TV!” Cinnamon accuses, glaring at Absol, while SA and Dumytru nodded in agreement. Absol flinched, not able to believe what she was hearing.
“I didn't see you either!” Absol said with a frown. “I didn't do it, any of it!” But her words fell to death ears, the three of them slowly walked towards her with angry looks on their faces, they couldn't let her walk free. Absol gulped and ran towards the lake, after all that happened the last few hours it was impossible to know what they might do. She had to protect herself, she hadn't done anything.
She run into the lake as fast as she could, but she didn't get far before she stopped. Her legs suddenly felt weird and soft. They looked like crumbled up, soggy paper. Absol reached down and took hold of one of her legs, it felt as soggy as it looked and she accidentally ripped part of it off. It was paper. She shrieked in horror and shook her head, this couldn't be happening. She had to be dreaming.
Absol picked some water up with her hands, and they started to feel soggy too, but she ignored it and splashed the water onto her face, in hopes of waking herself up. It didn't help. Instead her sight got blurry. She rubbed her eyes but her sight only got worse, her papery legs dissolved in the water, and the rest of her body started getting soggy as well. She was dissolving into nothing. “Help me!” she called as she tried to spot the rest of the group, but her smudged out eyes wouldn't let her.
The group couldn't do anything to save her. They stood and watched in horror as she disappeared into the water.
