Just for your information, there are Ayumi-fans. Maybe not as many as for some other characters (which is probably the reason why you thought you could insult her), but they exist. I am one of them.

I have no idea why liking Ayumi makes me a lolicon. And why with the same definition liking Ai doesn't ("Well, she looks like 7, but she is really 21 years old" isn't exactly a good reason.) Or why liking Conan doesn't make you a shotacon.
Ayumi isn't dumb. Just overshadowed by Ai and Conan (who seems to know EVERYTHING), but for a 7 year-old she is pretty smart.

I can't believe I'm actually going to step into the line of fire..but here goes: I think ranger was just messing around for starters and second I think you got a bit too defensive. ranger clearly used the word attraction in his post while you are using "fan" and "like". They are not the same thing. Being attracted to Ayumi is completely different than being a fan or liking her, so I don't see why you have to defend her fanbase as they were never the issue.

I agree that Chibiusa is win in the comedy department. ...but to play devil's advocate, Chibiusa tries to "act" older than she is in general(because she thinks Usagi is an idiot.....what I seen a few episodes of Sailor Moon).

Same applies to Sasami, she's actually suppose to be the "mature" one of the group that everyone(sometimes even Tenchi) rely upon and things go to hell when she's sick(true story).

yeah,i agree...it was a bit overreacted... Ranger means that people who find Ayumi attractive,are lolicons(which is true in a way,she's only 7)he didn't mean the people who like Ayumi,(like me^^)

I don't understand why so many people hate Chibiusa (english dub ruined her maybe?). Though it seems like the "Sasami" of Detective Conan is actually Haibara...therefore Gosho needs to make a spinoff series and turn Haibara into a Maho Shoujo

Yeah, thats how I read it as well.
And I also can't see a real difference between Ayumi or Ai. If you are (sexually) attracted to Ai you are as much a lolicon as if you are attracted to Ayumi. "She is much older than she looks" is a pathetic excuse.
(I still think Shiho is older than 18. Ran, Kazuha and Sonoko are 17, and Shiho looks older (more mature) than them. Might be her foreign genes though...)


But... Haibara a magical girl? It's so crazy... it might actually be fun. Might.

About Ayumi talking in the third person... In the west it is looked upon as pretentious, but in Japan it is looked upon as cute when done by young girls. From what I understand it is a fairly common practice.... In fact... Even adults say their name when talking about themselves at times, because saying your name [aka talking in the third person] is more proper in Japan [if I recall correctly that is] than saying boku, watashi or atashi. If I remember correctly, using those are considered less formal than one's name

So I see nothing wrong with the way she speaks, but then again this is being based off of what I remember from 2 years ago when I took Japanese.
