Shinichi+Ran

I read Conan for more than 5 years but I still cannot accept ShinRan as a couple (ever since i get into the fact that ShinRan are not BF-GF relationship).... And after reading Shaman King, I dunno why i wanted to read Conan again and wanted to understand the characters in Detective Conan more..... especially Conan/Shinichi...... But the more i read...... (especially "Ran's Deduction" in Vol. 42) I found that i'm despair in ShinRan after i feel that Ran is just doing what Shinichi said and also feel like she is living for him........ maybe to me the real love is like the "love" in Shaman King (like Hao's love for mother, etc.)

I don't know if you noticed, but... DC and Shaman King are different manga. It's no good to compare relationships inter-manga, because each manga exists in vastly different universes. Shinichi and Ran could not possibly be in a situation properly resembling the weirdness of the Shaman King universe, and vice-versa, so the relationship will have a different background and feelings will develop differently. I think Shinichi and Ran's love is sweet and real, and I hope they end up together.

@mangaluva: i know but b'cause of knowing the fact that ShinRan is not BF-GF and after reading Shaman King i feel that Yoh and Anna really love each other (despite their young age)....... if comparing this to ShinRan the difference is too huge (as the gap is really big.....)..... Shaman King struggled alot to the real ending too.... (Do not wish 'Karakuridouji ULTIMO' to be the same as Shaman King too....)

Proofs that they love eachother. It is a good question what do you consider as a proof. Sheinichi claimed in the manga that ran is his most precious/important thingin the whole world, and he likes her (volume 36, volume 18). He is damn romantic, took Ran to a restaurant and stuff (volume 26).

About Ran: In Volume 1 she said she loves him. How deep that love is? Enough to cry for him and wait for him, even to believe in him.

I mean... if you have read DC, you should be able to see this. Of course, it is another thing that you don't like it. There are several types of love anyways. ^^

I don't understand that point as well. Then almost no pair in this series can be considered a couple.

....to me SonokoMakoto, KazuhaHeiji, KogoroEri are special cases....... if Shinichi and Ran are BF-GF then, the story should show why is it......... (this is the problem concerning me.....)

"Obama isn't the only non-white president the USA had. Bush and Clinton also weren't white to me, they are special cases." now...this is a bad and unrealistic example (consists of the only USA presidents I remember at this point). But if you say these are exceptions, at least explain why.

and...I still don't understand. Do you know those romantic-"so called" comady movies where you know from the START that the man will end up with the woman at the end? It applies to DC as well (DC is a bad romantic comady?  )

Now what makes Kazuha and Heiji be an exception? It is the EXACT same sort of relationship like ShinRan's. Actually, the odds for Kazuha and Heiji to end up together are lower than Shinichi's and Ran's. Heiji doesn't show even a slight awareness toward Kazuha's feelings.

AND NOW someone in this forum has said this before: Not being boyfriend and girlfriend doesn't mean that their not in love.

I have to agree with Kor, I don't get why HeijixKazuha are special compared to ShinichixRan.

Could you explain it, like to little kids, because I still don't understand.  *sorry*

I don't follow the logic either. Each has proclaimed at various points that the other is the most important thing in their world; both have sacraficed a lot for each other and worry about each other's safety. Just because they're not BF-GF doesn't mean that they don't love each other... it just means that both have been too scared to lose the other to risk asking them out and being rejected. But they really are in more or less the same place as Heiji and Kazuha, except for Shinichi not being as dim as Heiji so I just don't get it.

Ran is Shinichi´s best friend and Shinichi is Ran´s best friend since childhood  and their fall in love when grow up  , so, I think that  is wonderful that you best friend is also you first –and only- love  . So, who cares if they are not “BFâ€
