man that ending was depressing. And here I was, thinking that because the episode wasn't written by the main writer, that it wouldn't contain anything relevant to the plot. And the exploded tardis piece = ffffffffffffff
Spoiler:
Tell me about it. That was a helluva downer. Is he seriously gone, just like that? What about the ring? Surely that ring is a Chekhov's Gun for something... oh, and the Tardis piece? Yeah, THAT ain't good... not in the slightest... ooooohhh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-

How the doctor is going to fix the crack is beyond me. 0_o
(What are the spoiler tags?)
He'll do it. He always does.
And you make a spoiler tag by putting (spoiler) around the words you want hidden (/spoiler). Just replace the ( ) with [ ]. If you click "reply" and go into a more detailed screen, there's a button that'll automatically put them down.
van gogh episode was pretty good, I liked the ending a lot.
Also, regarding the theory I posted earlier:
Spoiler:
the theory about how the doctor that went back to see Amy in the angels episode was a different one from the rest of the episode.
first shot is the doctor looking at his watch
second shot is rory looking at his watch.
third shot is from the angels episode, in the scene where the doctor comes back to amy and tells her to remember things. Look at the doctor's left arm. Why is he wearing rory's watch, eh? Hm hm hm...
I really liked the Van Gogh episode, for several reasons: they did Van Gogh and their portrayal of his illness very well, and making him Scottish was awesome (Like Rockstar Shakespeare, they made it work XD); I was interested in the way they portrayed the aftermath of Rory's death (The Doctor trying to talk to Rory even though he wasn't there and Amy crying without knowing why); and that was really just a beautiful moment when The Doctor let Van Gogh overhear how important he'll become to the world of art. It's just too bad that they were right that depression just isn't that easy to beat...
I need to catch up. I'm still on the first half of "The Hungry Earth."
Superman = Captain America > Aquaman = Hal Jordan > Wonder Woman > Barry Allen > Thor > Martian Manhunter > The Hulk > Wasp > Hawkeye > [power gap] > Iron Man = Batman > [power gap] > Hank Pym
I've heard a lot of good things about Tom Baker (as basically he's the only one anyone mentions when they're talking about how Old Who is better than New Who), but I haven't gotten around to watching any, because I would probably force myself to watch all the old seasons then and I don't have that kind of time!

ok understood. But you must see at least Pyramids of Mars. That one was GREAT!
I like the fifth and seventh Doctors, myself. The Caves of Androzani is one of my favorites. And (I can't remember the name off the top of my head) the one with Five and the Silurians in the underwater navy base. Turlough was there, and at least one of the girls, Tegan or Nyssa. (Recent episodes have made me want to watch that one again.)
And I don't really like the 90s movie, but Paul McGann has done a great job since then in the audio plays. I'm currently listening to them and they're a lot of fun.

Am now a mix of intrigued, impressed and deeply confused.
Spoiler:
I'm glad that they cleared up what I had previously dismissed as a disappointing Continuity Fail- the scene in the Weeping Angels episode where The Doctor's talking to Amy and you can see him wearing his coat, even though it was just stolen by the Angels. I'd never really understood what he was talking about there, but it's cleared up now, and I have a better idea of what caused Amy's various oddities. Yay! I'm not going to expound on them though since they're very difficult to articulate.
I'm not too sure how, after the Pandorica (who else now thinks of Magic Kaito every time the word "Pandora" comes up?) River Song ended up on earth and even still had the book, unless, as the Doctor once mentioned, being a time traveller makes you a bit exempt from that kind of thing. Amy and Rory managed to remember, after all (just). Although does Rory remember the two thousand years that he waited? Because that was Plastic Rory, and I thought Amy brought back Real Rory... though admittedly Plastic Rory was made from Amy's memories, and Real Rory was brought back through Amy's memories, so maybe Plastic Rory's memories ended up in Real Rory's head...
I'm sure it'll all be explained next season, which will apparently be the most epic honeymoon ever.
PS- HOW DARE THEY DESTROY THE FEZ?! Fezzes are cool! 8)
