First of all, OVA 12 has nothing to do with movie 16. OVA 12 is based on a one shot Gosho wrote way back when about baseball. "Excalibur" I think it was called.

As I said in my previous post, OVA 12 has absolutely nothing to do with Movie 16. What you're looking for is Magic/Bonus file 6. That's the side story for Movie 16.

Hello guys, I just caught up with the anime (749) and I am thinking about switching over to the manga. I know that episode 749 covers up to chapter 871; however, I also know that the anime tends to shuffle cases around a little bit. If I wanted to pick up the manga, would chapter 872 be the correct place to begin? Or should I go back a little bit to cover any cases that weren't animated?

Yea, they skipped a case about Taii, the cat, take a look at ch 860-870, there should be 4-5-chapter-case u haven't seen yet
