I heard a good method (that apparently gets you into quite a deep sleep) is to lay on your back with your arms to your sides, palms up, close your eyes (obviously) clear your mind before thinking of a nice place like a meadow. If you do it right, you just fall asleep right away. My friends have tried it and said it worked really well, so maybe it'll help?

I keep getting annoyed at one of my roleplaying friends and I don't really have a reason to do so. She is really kind and I do like her. I haven't know her as long as I've known the others but that isn't really it. I believe that most it is because she is such a crappy player, or not that either. She has a crap character. The character should be cool, but really is just lame but she thinks the character isn't. And she takes everything said or done against her character personally which is just wrong. It is important to be able to distance oneself from the game. Of course you can't avoid taking things to heart, after all your character is a part of you, but it should still be possible to see the characters faults, just as you can see your own. I've always been a bit annoyed because of this, not to mention her whiny character that is so self absorbed and lame. My character is pretty lame, I'll admit, he was the lamest character ever but at least he changes, he grows and is now really trying to become someone you can trust in a fight as well as outside one. And her character doesn't really do anything despite the fact that she (the character) is supposed to be a "secret agent" of some sorts, first she was disguised as a brat in my characters age. Befriending him as means to get to the rest of the group, problem is, that even though we now know who she is and she knows that we know and we are all cooperating, the character is still the same, she (the player) still plays the same way. Like an annoying brat and expects us, but us and our characters to take them seriously. It's impossible. But back to today. She (the player) today said that my character always avoids battle, that he is fleeing from it since I live far, far way and naturally therefore can't play. As things are now he is a way supporting a friend going trough some really though times. But it's like she can't see how much my character has grown. He spends every wake moment trying to become a better person, and nothing pisses him off more than when he is left behind. But nooo, he's just a lame coward in her eyes. It wouldn't annoy me as much if her character wasn't so damn lame and poorly played.

Sorry for rambling but rambling does make me feel better some times.
