Discussion Thread: Detective Conan Files 850-852

Yeah, but unlike ever before Bourbon is close to him on a daily basis and he knows exactly who his target is.  And even if he isn't around for a bit, there's a lot going on with Okiya and Sera right now too. Plus Ran seems to be close to finding out who Conan is, with her little hints... idk it seems to me like Gosho is speeding the plot up.  Maybe a Heiji or KID case and then some more plot.

Possibly another 'minor' BO case like this one before the one he talked about for 2014 as well?

Amuro saw that:
-Conan & Jodie had a panicked, what-the reaction when he mentioned that SA was still around.
-Conan & Jodie working + talking together
-Jodie's mumblings about the cell phone and how AKAI touched it
-Conan's extremely panicked look
-Conan's case deductions

So what will he do now? He has a target who he can see everyday. He's not going to shoot Conan or something....

I think this case was like the first rainy day after months of drought! The mysterious woman did turn out to be Vermouth (bleh). I was kind of hoping for someone more unexpected. I wonder how much info Amuro got recorded. My speculations are that he didn't get the first part, where Jodie and Conan basically identified him as Bourbon of the Black Org and recognized that the BO was behind the train explosion. I think he did get the part where Jodie talked about Akai's fingerprints and acknowledged Conan's involvement with the FBI, which is AWESOME. I wonder what kind of investigation he would carry on now.

Bourbon's biggest thread is Vermouth. I suspect that she will go out of her way to stop him from hurting Conan if he gets close to the truth about Shinichi/ Conan. It's a good idea for him to keep his investigation from her.

In my opinion, so far Vermouth is still the best among the Org members in reconnaissance. Bourbon hasn't quite lived up to Gin's praises yet ("Someone you'd wish was only in the novels, a great detective like Sherlock Holmes.") In order to top Vermouth, I think he needs to find out the truth about Shinichi, Sherry, Akai and maybe even Kir. Let's see how he pulls this off

I'm pretty sure anything after she was bugged is safe too. The bug was Jodie's not the BO's from what the last scenes with Vermouth and Bourbon seems to imply. The bug had been placed on Bourbon and Vermouth removed it from him and placed it back on her.

No, Bourbon decided to place the bug on Jodie when Jodie grabbed him. You can see Vermouth remove it from Jodie in the last chapter.  And Vermouth says something along the lines of, "I removed the bug you placed."

Well shit. Now Bourbon knows Conan is involved with the FBI against the BO. He also heard about the goddamned cellphone thing.

And judging by the series' current close-to-breakneck pacing (well, I mean, compared to the series' pacing before the Mystery Train arc, of course), this could only mean we're in for a HELL of a ride.

Though I wonder... What will Bourbon do now to look for his proof? Is he gonna sneak into the Metro PD HQ to get his hands on that cellphone? I sure hope so. Especially because of how the Wataru Date thing can be heavily exploited then.

And well... Jodie. I really don't want her to figure the truth out... Or at least not yet.

I don't think so, since that was just between Conan and Haibara, and I don't think Haibara would talk about that in earshot of Jodie

Conan asks the man (Bourbon) if he had bad eyesight and that's why he didn't recognise the pick pocket lady earlier and yet he was able to recognise Jodie from further away, Conan should be able work out that he was lying about having bad eyesight and he'd work out who the man and woman were by the next chapter.

Would Vermouth send Conan a message warning him to be careful?

Conan asks the man (Bourbon) if he had bad eyesight and that's why he didn't recognise the pick pocket lady earlier and yet he was able to recognise Jodie from further away, Conan should be able work out that he was lying about having bad eyesight and he'd work out who the man and woman were by the next chapter or maybe Vermouth would send him a message telling him to be careful

It could be Conan worked out that the dude was fishy, he might also figured out the "pregnant woman" was Vermouth since she overdid the Balloon, so he could have be suspecting those two are Amuro & Vermouth but Gosho don't want to reveal it yet.
