It's been a while since Ran kicked some serious ass  ;D You go girl!

...though what's with the obsession with tazering people lately? Have they become more publicly availible in Japan or something?

I did ok on the mystery this week although I messed up on the purpose of the receipt and the identity of the shadow man. (Who would have thought Takagi would release the suspects so quickly...) Two taser cases in a row is unusual considering that they haven't shown up in the series much.
Here is to hoping the next case is an Okiya case or a scar Akai appears before James Black case. Plot please! It would be nice to see Makoto though.

Tehehe, that case had a funny turnabout.  ;D

Seriously, I almost forgot Ran was that good in karate too.

Those teasers aren´t worth their prices. No one was kicked out, just pretending to be so. I thought they would be (in RL) really serious stuff since you lose controll over your bodys function and shit into your pants. ::)

my vision for the next BO case:

the FBI start to look for Scar akai , okiya spies on FBI
I'm starting to lose faith here...
I didn't read this case and I probably wouldn't read the next one.
Maybe Gosho wanted to have a B.O. case IN January so he still needed another pointless case for this last week of December (and we all know how rare it is for Gosho to do a one-file).
If there wouldn't be a B.O. case after this one, then I think Gosho either wants to have Conan until it reaches 1000 files, or he plans to finish it in the exact date he started it in the 20th anniversery (something like 5 years from now)

I'm kinda disappointed at the ending when Ran confronted the culprit: I was hoping to see Ran figuring out the answer (which is "be yourself") on her own instead of believing whatever's written in a friggin' fortune!

*James Black is on the phone with Okiya*
Okiya: Where are you now?
James Black: I'm sitting in my office.
Okiya: I doubt that.
James Black: Why would you doubt that?
Okiya: If you were in your office right now we'd be having this conversation face-to-face.

before continuing to read the following lines, these lines popped to my head:
Okiya: What are you wearing right now?
James Black:... (I stopped thinking about it then)

That´s just her peronality, but hell, she must have buy the longest love fourtune ever and it was a good one too (though it was also totally chessy XP). She really should start to buy a lotterie los.^g^

IMO, it wouldn't have worked out as well.  Ran learning that on her own.  IMO, for her to have gotten that on her own, she probably would've needed Shinichi to reassure her of that.  You know, maybe she does something out of the ordinary for her, and then Shinichi might say something sarcastic meaning that her old way was better, which would allow for her to realize that it is better for her to be herself.

Since Shinichi wasn't there, Gosho had to find another way for Ran to understand that.  Since Japan is into the fortune thing anyway, it's no surprise he went about it that way.

Aoyama could've had Ran beat the crap out of the guy, then find the real fortune. The way it happened folks will wonder whether she would really give up her life for something so silly. (I guess at least post-Shiragami Ran would rather die as the girl Shin'ichi likes than live with any possibility of losing him... and is that superstitious. I want the Ran who wasn't too gullible to clock someone who was threatening to curse her back...)
