The only thing that reminds me of Eisuke is the clumsiness.

To begin with, Eisuke doesn't know how to disguise. And even if he did I doubt he has ability to pass off as a woman.

We don't even know if he got to enter the CIA or not in the end, either.

I still think she's either related to the robbers or to the wealthy man killed by the robbers 10 years ago.
Spoiler:
That's true, we don't know, but it would be more complicated for the robbers to put a teacher inside the school than it would be for CIA or FBI, or even someone sent by Amuro, considering she's japanese. But why would the robber, Vermouth above all, or a police officer be clumsy? I would say if not Eisuke, an officer from the secret police. Though she could even be Shinichi's mother... xD

Spoiler:
Vermouth might be clumsy because she's forced to be, because the original Rumi was clumsy as well. She must copy her clumsiness, or otherwise someone could find out that she is not the real Rumi.

I doubt she's the robber, the isse here I see is why would they wait over 10 years to come back for the gold. Why not much, much sooner? And if for example she was in prison, I doubt that she would be hired in a school. But knowing Gosho, that's probably the case... :P

I’ll teach you this old song so you can sing along

About Rumi:
Spoiler:
I don't think she is Rum because Haibara would have noticed it. Rum is the 2° most important in the BO, no way she would have missed it.
However, I think she is involved with the case 17 years ago. Rum Asaca is too similar to Rumi Wakasa to be a coincidence. I think Haneda Kohji was trying to write her name but couldn't because he hadn't all the letters; and now, everyone is just misinterpreting his message and thinking he was talking about Rum.
About spoilers file 967:
Spoiler:
And also, Rumi is giving hints to Conan, isn't she? The timetable and then the whiskey. I don't think a teacher would usually speak about drinking alcohol in front of children. She is clever enough to resolve it before Conan, or she knew it before hand (that would make her a robber...) .

Remember the case when vermouth disguised as Azusa?
The musician there waited 17 years to continue working on a song he started 17 years ago so why wouldn't others wait for 10 years :P welcome to Conan land :P
Thanks for the SS Kamite! ;D

That had a reason though (and it wasn't just "lel, that's DC for you roflz"), he didn't just randomly stopped to work on the song and randomly wanted to pick it up again 17 years later. There must be a reason why this robbery case is becoming relevant again.

Spoiler:
Maybe she'd been looking for the robbers as she worked and recently stumbled upon that body and saw that band but figured that she alone couldn't solve it hence why she enroled in Teitan Elementary and tries to use the DBs to solve the code, maybe hoping to find the location of the gold.

She could be related to the wealthy man killed 10 years ago: somehow she gives off that feeling. Were she an accomplice of the robbers she wouldn't bring attention to herself, would she?

We'll see when the file comes out if there's some graphical detail that gives out a hint.

Agree that the teacher is most likely related to the wealthy man, not the robbers. I am placing my bet on the daughter of the wealthy man.

NO BREAK NEXT WEEK
Spoiler:
File 967: Impossible to decode!?

The characters that appear upon tying the string around the pen can't be read as they are.

There are voiced consonant marks in odd positions and they seem to be a hint and yet...

The group begin to thinks they're lacking some material: Rumi, who'd casually been charged with cleansing up, accidentally tears the wall's schedule with the ruler she's been given.

Conan then remembers the schedule found at the warehouse with the corpse and uses one as a cypher table: he turns the "odds" as weekdays and the "created" into subjects
and thus creates a Japanese syllabary table which he then reads aloud:

Su-ma-ho-me-u, so-ne-a-ri-ta. E-bu-e-mu-a!
Yu-te-shi-ri-to, u-tsu-a-so-ko. Mo-u"-ni-mu-a!

The day's classes end and the DBs are about to head back with the code still unsolved: they find that the news about the corpse in the warehouse and the code are already circulating in the Internet. When they are about to leave Rumi asks them to help her find limestone once again: they enter the old warehouse again and find signs of someone having searched the place.

It's been 2 hours since the news were emitted so there was plenty of time for anyone to ransack the place.

But it'd seem that the basement is untouched, however. Mitsuhiko hurries the group telling them to finish searching and go back: Rumi also agrees and says she'd like to go back home and have some whisky or something like that.

Whisky... Ebisu beer... The colors are the key to order the syllabary's contents! And Conan then realizes the code is related to the case of 10 years ago...

Side-note: Has the code been decoded!? But there seems to be a dangerous figure behind this case!! Next number, the resolution!
Spoiler:
Woah, thanks a lot Spimer. Though geez, I was hoping for this file to become something bigger. I still suspect her as Eisuke. Considering Gosho said DC is entering the final straight, I doubt (hope) this is going to be just some random case... So we can only wait u.u
Mind giving a source to where he supposedly said that? I don't recall him stating something like that.

Spoiler:
To be honest, I don't recall exactly where did I read that, but it was in a spanish page. So, this one says something similar:
http://www.batanga.com/comics/2777/dete ... ecta-final

Translation of the important paragraph says something like:
"The author, Gosho Aoyama, confirmed DC Manga won't last to 100 volumes, so considering 4 volumes per year, we could calculate an approximate of 6 years of DC, and probably less."

Maybe that interview/statement is from some years ago but now it looks like we'll reach volume 100: we're at 91 currently.

Anyways, back to the case...
Spoiler:
It's easy: Conan's come out in newspapers and TV often whenever KID's been involved as the "Kid-killer". So maybe she's heard of him from there.

He's also know to stick around Kogoro and Kogoro is famous as well so it'd be easy for Rumi to have heard about Conan.

Another possibility is that she caught some gossip talk between neighbors.

Yeah, may be old, strange thing is it was posted this month. Anyway.
Well, you may be right, of course, but I still hope this is something bigger.

The 100 Volume limit thing is a rumor. Gosho has made statements about wanting to finish and retire, but he keeps pushing the deadline out.

2006 Germany
Q: How many volumes is Detective Conan going to have?
A: The amount of volumes is not certain yet.

Q:「コナン」は連載開始から17年、既刊71巻の長編となりましたが、長期連載を続けるコツはありますか?
Conan has become a long series that has continued for 17 years since the beginning of serialization, with 71 volumes published – any tips on continuing a long serialization?
A:ないですね。逆に、新しい事件を描くときはいつもこれが最後という気持ちでかかります。でも進んでるうちに次の話が始まるという。
No tips. On the contrary, when I draw a new case, I always draw with the feeling that this will be the last. Though when advancing forward the next story begins.

Q: Both anime and movies have been running for 20 years. How do you feel like?
A: "20 years already!"... That's the general feeling (laughs) I think it's surprising that it's come this far. I didn't think that the weekly magazine chapters would last this long. But I got to admit that the ammount of things I want do is steadily increasing. (laughs)

i still did't think this case will connect to BO or RUM..
Well, it doesn't surprise me that Aoyama sensei will write an ordinary case that didn't connect to BO, FBI or the other..

@estuputri:
Spoiler:
It looks like it but let's wait for the third file before drawing conclusions: I still think the Wakasa Rumi naming is a red herring and she's just the daughter of the wealthy man killed 10 years ago who's trying to figure out what's become of the stolen gold and uses the DBs to achieve that.
