I don't really understand some people on tumblr (across multiple fandoms) who take art directly from a comic/cartoon or manga/anime and edit it by either coloring, cropping, shading, gif-ing, ect... and suddenly claim it as their own "DO NOT STEAL", "DO NOT REPOST" "THIS IS MINE"...
You literally just stole someone else's art yourself and edited it... how does that give you any right to claim that it is yours and that no one else has the right to take what you have made and edit it further?

I mean I fully understand the "this is mine" sentiment if you created the original piece, say, something hand drawn by you, or created completely from scratch by you... but the rest of this is ridiculous
