My first thought was of Rin, Haruka and Makoto in Free!. THat probably wasn't it. I wonder what that says about me that those boys are my first thought when you bring up a high school anime love triangle. ...Okay I know exactly what it says about me, I just don't care.

For that matter, I wonder when the next episode of Eternal Summer is out.

You certainly thought about Nagisa, Makoto and Haruka...

It comes out on Wednesdays. Pretty early, too, considering I watched a subbed episode the day it came out at around 1 PM my time

Get used to this.

While ATLA's relationships never left a huge impression on me, at least they weren't as obnoxious as LOK's relationships.

The recurring love triangles are still pissing me off, but I can forgive this show a lot for a cameo from Uncle Iroh.

Kinda interesting about Korra season 2 is that most thought it got better towards the end while my thoughts were that it was so awkwardly put together and poorly paced that the problems only annoyed me THAT much because of how they were resolved without enough self-awareness to justify any frustrations. So it just felt disappointing. Especially Korra herself. Maybe because I'm too used to series starting off meh and then redeeming themselves.

Pffft. I finally found someone who I can sympathize with! Maybe it's because I have OT3's but I really want to see a piece of media (book, movie, anime, manga, whatever) actually make a love triangle end up being a threesome for the sake of comedy. I understand why they won't go in this direction but it would still be pretty interesting.

I'm currently rewatching ATLA (coincidentally enough)and I'm afraid of watching Korra because they say it's a bit 'meh' compared to Aang's.

The first season was good outside of the love triangle and the second season was more mixed rather than consistently mediocre. And what I've seen of the 3rd season is really good.

Although outside of the plot of the first season I generally agree it doesn't live up to the previous series.

It doesn't live up to ATLA, but that's an extremely high bar to set.

Now catching up on Book 3. I still don't like love triangles, but I have a lot of love for the fact that Asami and Korra are good friends and consider their friendship extremely important and a separate thing from Mako being crap at relationships.

My main problems with season 3 so far: The villains suck. They are practically the very definition of forgettable movie villains.

Plus, now there are tons spirits around. Shouldn't that open the door for more interesting new characters and conflicts? Nope just a bunch of generic villains.

Oh, and there's that thing with Tenzin's daughter having the hots for this obnoxious Kai kid that she just met for the first time, but there has to be a thing between them cause they're the same age or something and the writers are lazy.

I'm on episode 3 just now and kinda annoyed that the spirits haven't done much except be a public nuisance in the first episode. Everything's about finding the new airbenders, which is cool, but I'd really like to see the spirits interact with everything a bit more... I was hoping that Jinora and Bumi would have a bunch of spirit pets around or something.

Not that interested in the new villains, but Zuko flying around on a dragon with the intent of kicking their asses is something that I am extremely cool with.
