I remember a show where all the other characters know the main character doing something secretly and just let them think they really did not know anything. I can see Kogoro acting this way. He knows he not the one solving the cases. He might even know that Conan si doing the solving, but he does not care. After all he is getting the credit and not doing the work. Next he needs to convince the Prof. to Remove the sleep agent in Conan's needles and then he can listen to the show and maybe learn something else
