You are forgetting something about Asaga door, there is a good reason for Okiya to have a key. He helps out and is the Professor helper. If the Professor forgot something, he might ask Okiya to bring it to him. It is not the door is unlocked, it is Okiya has a key.

I thought I heard that the breaks were more...spread out than that. And I mean... That'd be 7 weeks or so of vacation. I can see maybe with the magazine taking breaks along with Gosho, but...would he really go for almost 2 months straight?

I haven't really known his breaking patterns for long, so I guess maybe this has happened before? ...Seems a bit long though (NOT to be taken as impatiently, I could wait forever tbh, I have things I can do in the mean time, I'm just curious as that seems like a pretty long vacation...for anything really)

EDIT: Also, regarding Agasa's door. At this point, I'm going to have no sympathy for him at all even if Gin just walks in for the **** of it.

It's the same pun as his name, so guess it is.

I'm in favor of the idea Okiya Subaru is a pun on Kyasubaru. But there are other possible explanations on the origin of the name.  Someone think the family name Okiya is a pun on Okiayu Ryotarou, the voice of Subaru. In another theory, as its letters rearranged, Okiya Subaru can be Kurisu Binyaado +IND(short for industry), on condition that Vermouth and Chris are not one person. Though I prefer the Gundam origin, I think the other two are not nonsense. I hope see more evidence in the name.

I agree with this. If it was an anagram, it should be a Japanese anagram (O, Ki, Ya, Su, Ba, Ru), not a romanized one. We know Okiya is not wearing a mask anyway because Ran kicked his face, and Chris is a daughter, not a son.

Although this is unlikely, maybe this is another "red-herring hint" that Gosho gave us. Despite being a red-herring, the Bourbon ordering scene of the last case was most likely a hint that the case itself was Bourbon-related. So there is a possibility that by making that woman acts like Vermouth, Gosho also "suggests" that something about Vermouth is/was involved in this case/arc.
