EDIT although you know what I find interesting. Assuming nobody votes on the first night. Then the person on everyone's list will be voted instead. Then wouldn't than person
be a civilian since it would end the game a little bit to early. That person on first of the list being the spy.

I thought the person was just randomly selected tbh o.O.

And it's just so we have stuff to go off. If you don't talk we've no way to tell if you're the Spy or not and so have to be extra cautious about you (aka, lynches presuming there are no better targets).

And please next phase can we actually do something? As in, don't just say "oh, it's too late" when we have ten hours left or something :/. (Btw, maybe look into those who immediately bandwagon'd on Kamite? Just because it's possible for the Spy to think that they could get away with voting him. Not that the Spy has to be on there but we need ideas so).

The problem with "voting with information" is that we have none. Except MAYBE the detective has something, but he/she can't tell us directly either way. And it's not like the spy could or would confess, either.

The strategy for this game is absolutely nothing like mafia, since we can't confer privately and plot and whatnot.

Quick question: if the detective gets arrested, is that noted in the phase? Or do we just have to hope for the best?

Yeppers. If the Detective is arrested or killed, it is noted in the phase change post. It will also note how many days are left before the Spy will escape, should that happen.

Double posting with an idea:

For the next phase, everyone should nominate a name (publicly). No need to take it personally if you are nominated, of course, as everyone has their reasons for who they choose and I'm sure they are all game-related. Now, once we have all of the names, we can keep them as a list and everyone on the list can defend themselves at any time after being nominated. We will keep an updated list of everyone who defends themselves, and that will keep a record of what is said from each person. Who knows--something may come of it. You can also nominate me, of course. Nuffin' to hide here, no-sir!

I think this effectively combines some of the previous ideas from Stopwatch, Kleene, etc.

I agree with everything Nix said. It's a good plan and is much more helpful than just randomly voting every phase.

The group of 18 players, and the GM, walked slowly through the pouring rain into the town hall for the meeting. They’d just returned from Yuri’s funeral and now it was time to vote again. For the first few hours everyone was pondering and discussing who to vote.
"We should be careful," Jd- said. Everyone agreed. They had just lost two civilians yesterday, and they didn't want to lose anymore. But who to vote?
"I'm sticking with my first vote," decided Jd- and Commi-Ninja. Some decided to vote with them, others decided to vote someone else in the event that they might prevent another arrest of a civilian or just to stay off the bandwagon.
The group waited anxiously. Jecka got tired of them staring at her as she got everything ready, so she shooed everyone home.
At 11:00 pm EST, she notified everyone, and Kamite was arrested.
kkslider5552000 had died in his home while eating some pizza. The pizza had been spiked. Everyone in the Animal Crossing community was very upset that he would never play another concert again. (*Sob*)
