Gosho is anti-matter(doesn't exist in DC world,except in credits ), and the other numbers wouldn't exist(ofc, Gosho created them)
Ran exist because of 0 (Gosho). Ran is matter, she co-exists with Gosho, so if any of them goes missing, goodbye DC (Gosho missing: We all know DC won't be the same, even if its continued;Ran missing: Conan commits suicide, no more DC)
Ai exists because of 1 (Ran). Why? Ran saved Ai's life in episode 345. So: no Ran,no Haibara.

Why? Because Ai got 20 votes (#1) and Ran got 17 votes (#2) before they were eliminated from the poll.

Ran still exists because of Ai. Why?
- In episode 1, when Shinichi was busted by Gin, he was given APTX4869 and didn't die.
- If Ai hadn't invented APTX, Gin would have used another drug or used a gun (sure death).
- If Shinichi had died, Ran would have gone crazy (knowing how much she cries and thinks about him) and would have commited suicide. And yes, I see that coming from her unlike Shinichi in the opposite way.
So: no Ai --> no APTX --> Shinichi dies --> Ran dies.

Obviously, you didn't get my reasoning.

My reasoning was that Ai=1 and Ran=2 (following the result of this poll).
Is that even a reasoning? It's a fact actually. 
We're still waiting to see who will be #3 (most likely Vermouth) and #4 (most likely Kazuha).

The other reasoning I gave in the end was a reply to Conia's "suicidal" reasoning. ^^
