A fun trick to play on a friend that believes in astrology: Take a report on both your sign and their sign, mislabel them intentionally, and give them the one labeled as their sign and let them pour over it as they gasp in awe at how well it fits them, and then have them examine yours and let them gasp in awe one more time at how well it fits you, and then reveal the trick. It's one way to plant a seed of doubt in their mind that it may not be all that it seems.

Or just tell them the truth.  "You know that sign you love so much, that you've been for 20 years?  Yeah, they changed the dates now.  You're a different sign, one that you always used to make fun of.  Enjoy!"

EDIT: Looks like it's just the Tropical vs. Sidereal. Wikipedia and most places on the internet seem to acknowledge still only the Tropical system even if it's not supposed to be accurate anymore

I love how Leo, which I am, doesn't fit me at all, while Virgo fits me really well (both strengths and weaknesses).
At the same time, my brother, who is Virgo, has all the Leo traits, but nearly no Virgo one.

That's because basically all of the weaknesses listed are repeated every other sign. Of course, most people won't bother looking through all of them, just their own, so they'll never notice that.

Barnum, the circusmaster and conman that said his circuses had "something for everyone"). This effect is commonly used in other types of scams and manipulations, including psychic readings.
