Ah, 12... Another movie written by Kazunari Kouchi.

That would be hard, Gosho is amazing....

And i predict that movie 11 will be subbed soon, as i still have yet to see it, waitng for DCTP.
I predict movie 12 will be out for subb around christmass this year, and 13, well around late 2009 or mid 2010.
My predictions are based on my deductions on the early movies, anyone else care to guess?

I downloaded movie 11 somewhere, and it sucked real good. I was asleep halfway. And no good Shinran moment to speak of!!! Truthfully, I'm not excited about movie 13. This just means that Conan will not end by next April, so Aoyama-sensei would still be leading us into madness up till then, i.e. no endings yet this year.

becuase  Kazunari Kouchi dont know anything about the black org and cant put anything he want becuae Gosho will not let him put something abut them in his stoped movie .

Kazunari Kouchi  was doing good with movies like 1-2-3-4 .
and he begen to be bad becuase he know that if he put stope story for Children to understand he wil get more money and that is what he do in the rest movies like :

6- you see the children all the movie and it is them who play the game and very stope Crime.
7-mmm it was mmm i dont know what to say but i dont think it is good as 1-2-3-4.
8- it was abut kid and mmmmm yes conan save the Plane and that will make the children hapy becuase they see a child like them save the day XD.
9-This is the worst movie every i think that  Kazunari Kouchi was drink when he wrot it .
10- mmm it have all the anime character and that make many of the fans happy but it bad in the end.
11- abut children one more time they are looking for  tradition and children haapy so we get nothing.

and one more thing there is some character that Kazunari Kouchi  dont know what to do with them like haibara he dont know what to do with her in the movie 7-8-9-10-11- he make her do these things only

Kouichi Kazunari didn't write 6, 10, or 11. Nozawa Hisashi wrote 6 (he was a novelist, so the tone is quite a bit different--and refreshing, in my opinion). 10 & 11 were written by Hiroshi Kawashiabara, and he pretty much was... absolutely terrible. He did some great Lupin work back in the day, but Conan...

As such, Kazunari did the best of the series: 1-4, as well as 7-9 and 12. 7-9 are watchable, but there's just too much fanservice and too little mystery for me.

If anyone can do Conan movies, it's clearly him.

i agrre with you that 1-4 are the best but abut 7-9 .
7 is ok but 9 XD are you out of your mind ( dont shoot me ) did you see it befor going to sleep or did you sleep when you were seeing it .
man i think that when you say that 1-4 are great it show me that you KNOW QUALITY in conan i resbect you and your opinine but 9 ????? why tell me why please ?

lol, I definitely DID NOT claim 7-9 were the best. Re-read the sentence .

I said, "...the best: 1-4" and then a comma, to indicate I was appending information that wasn't part of the previous statement. So, read it like this:

I don't personally care for the first movie.  Probably because it's so date specific that it feels like it clashes with the canon story.  However, I do agree 2-6 are amazing.  I even like 7, but then again Hattori is my favorite character so that's probably why.

As for movie 13, the preview at the end of movie 12 had the voice over done by Gin, so I'm fairly sure it's going to be a Black Org based movie.

7-9 are watchable, but there's just too much fanservice and too little mystery for me.

I found 7 unbelievably bad. There were lots of pretty renderings of Kyoto, but the movie had absolutely no logical flow and the mystery and confrontation were predictable to the extreme. 8 was an Airplane! takeoff with the Conan name slapped on, 9 was great the first time because of the trick, but in retrospect it's not a very good movie.

10, though. That was genuinely one of the worst movies I've ever watched, no exaggeration there. 7 and 11 are both bad, but for overuse of cliches, for characters who's emotions are nonexistent or nonsensical, for a plot that drags on longer much than it should, and, above all, for a mystery and a 'dramatic' conclusion that I was able to see from a mile away even though I was half asleep while watching the movie.

I love 5, but it's not quite my favorite, because although it has lots of great things the mystery is woven together with the action, they happen in the same place, but's there not really much of a connection. Fortunately, the action is delightful and the mystery is pretty good as well. My favorite is three which does a very nice job of weaving adventure, mystery and history in one plot. 4 is very nice as well, but the whole 'ammnesia' device gets a bit tiring and silly. 2 has a good mystery and a nice setting and revelation, but the supporting cast is rather weak. 1 is very fun, but there are lots of loose threads (sorry about the pun ) and there is no mystery. 6 is a good movie, but it's not a Conan movie. It's a decent to above average piece of social commentary with a truly terrible mystery thrown in.

I read somewhere that Gosho help in the first and second movie production, so I don't think movie 1 should be punished, as he did "something" in that. I'm not saying movie 1 should be canon, but I find it pretty enjoyable. Movie 2 was OK as well, but the mistery was quite easy. Movie 5 and 6 would be my favorites, although as dilbertschalter said movie 6 it's not a REAL Conan movie. But as everything here, I think that beggining in movie 7 every year it gets worse, over all movie 8 (you've gotta be kidding me, who would let a kid ride a plane!!!!).

Ahh DC movies, as long as they don't get as umm...unwatchable as the live action then I'll be fine.  They're not something to be taken seriously...I mean I couldn't take them seriously even if I tried anyways.  So let's just enjoy it as an movie disconnected from the main series xD. 

With that said I found Movie 1 enjoyable as well xD.

Movie 6 was my favorite <3,  or that's what I WANTED to say until the plot decided to slap me in the face with a rotten salmon D:.  Still it was entertaining...for the first bit.

Movie 7...well at least I liked the song.  Marutake ebisu ni oshi oike~
