Thank you so much for this translation!
Even if Aoyama-sensei has not revealed a lot. Which was to be expected, though. :D
Apparently Gin's image, as a killer was hardboiled and cool... and he's all about the aesthetics. ;)
Who cares that long blonde hair stands out like a lighthouse in Japan? It's...er...beautiful...
*nods* true *nods* Everything about him is rather uncommon. You would expect that a person like him tries to hide himself, but he does the opposite.

And nice to meet you! ^.^

The bit about Chianti and Korn is new info which is nice.

Sometimes I wonder if Gin stands out so that when he disguises or changes something he is that much harder to find because it defies everyone's expectations. I guess I am waiting for an on-the-road showdown where Conan has to tally the Org members by the cars they drive. After finally losing the Porsche 356A, Conan thinks he has managed to safely escort the target from danger. Then Gin on a motorcycle pops the target in the head.

Yes, there was a little bit more about Chianti and Korn.

This is what Kaito KID is doing, if I remember correctly. IMO it would be boring if it's the same with Gin, but then Aoyama does the same trick over and over again, therefore it is possible.
I hope there will be more about Gin soon. :)

Gin can't mask himself, all the people presented that can make the latex masks have something to do with the original Kaitou 1412. People in the film industry should be able to do that but so far Gosho has kept that line there where even Yukiko has to know Touichi, even if she didn't learn to mask from him. She might've learned that from him though.

Gin can disguise. He mentioned that he and Vodka need to put one on after the Itakura case. To be fair, it might not be a latex miracle disguise.

Maybe the reason they wear black is the same as Kaito wearing white, then?

To be fair, I think their black has more to with the boss's crow preferences, and quoting the booklet that is the topic of this thread, Gin thinking it is better looking than wearing just his shirt.

He's still going to have to do something to those clothes no matter how he wants to disguise himself...

So what you mean is more like disguise. Well, in that case this outfit would be a disguise, so they don't recognise him in his normal life.
I would really like to know what they do. Normal Yakuza seem to be rather famous and known for being a member of a yakuza (you can even find the names of yakuza bosses on wikipedia XD). But this yakuza group is different.

Does he also say this in the manga? I follow the manga - not the anime - and prefer it as a 'prove' source, as it is directly from Aoyama-sensei. ;) I only have the German manga version, and I don't trust any German 'official' translation of DC. (There are so many mistakes in there unfortunately.)

He says it in the manga too :

German translation + english manga fan translation + english anime fan translation. I think you can trust it now. ^^

Yes (ETA this is the Viz translation):

Gin could literally mean anything by "disguising". He might mean him wearing Vodka's sunglasses.
That's basically Conan's disguise, anyway.

Nice. Thank you!
(I didn't check the German translation, as the books are at my parents'.)

Yes, that was clear from the beginning, as it says "disguising" and not "masking" (which is more Vermouth's style).
But I forgot about this fact, as later on Gin appears always as himself, and we never see him without his dark cloths. Aoyama-sensei also stated in the very booklet this topic is about that it would be weird to see him wearing anything else. :D

I choose to believe that when Gin is talking there, what he really means is that he and Vodka don a pair of Grouch Marx nose and glasses and walk out.
