As far as Amuro hacking into Kogoro's computer.... Gin and Vodka suspected he was working with the FBI way back in the beginning of Kir's cases.  Maybe Amuro was part of that, but never got the memo that Kogoro wasn't a threat to them?

And Amuro only saw/knows Shiho but didn't see Haibara yet(presumably) so he didn't make the link.

He did. The hint is in her distinctive ring.

Him taking note of that wasn't because it was a hint at Ai=Shiho, he was taking note of it so he'd know where Shiho was gonna be next.

@Commi-Ninja: I got the impression Gin was still susp of Kogorou, but would stay away for then as he seemed to be under the FBI's protection. I wouldn't be surprised if Amuro was sent in to investigate Mouri's possible connection to the FBI, though it seems more likely he went in there himself without any orders to look into *Akai's* connection in particular...

Because she's a detective, and any detective worth their salt in this series ends up finding out about them at some point in some way, as long as they aren't with the police.

She hasn't been confirmed as FBI.  Until then, she will be treated as non-FBI (by me, at least).

This, plus she's only 16-17.  Last I checked, FBI didn't hire those under 18, and only those without degrees in extreme circumstances.

And not everyone has to be a part of something. She might be another Eisukei for all we know. Of course she's 100x more help and much smarter.

Neither Jodie nor Camel recognized her. James is the exception, but perhaps he was closer to Akai than the others, and therefore knows more. I'd say it's kind of a stretch to say she's FBI and yet those two don't know her and she doesn't know them. It would seem like a pretty big ass-pull on Gosho's part if suddenly she's in the FBI but only James has ever heard of her. So doubting she's one of them.

I don't think she is part of the FBI neither... We all can say that is somehow related to Akai, but I can't see her beeing a part of that kind of org.

By the way despite the fact that Okiya may be the one who's hacking Kogoro's computer couldn't the unknown woman who's hiding in the house help too?
After all the odds of her being Yukiko has decreased... I mean if it was her she'd have shown herself with Yusaku in the Cold Case. (they tend to appear together)
So I think it's more probable if she's Kinoshita or another person Okiya has trust in.
