1. Because they think in the same level
2. Because in times of trouble, they reach out for each other.
3. Because they compliment each other.
4. Because who'd want Ran when you can have Ai?
5. Because Conan needs Ai badly.
6. Because Ai can guess Conan's behavior.
7. Because our ship doesn't need canon to sail.
