I had him tabbed down as a relative of Akai since seeing his eyes in the first spoiler pics. While he could be looking to investigate the whereabouts of his kin, Okiya may have invited him to meet up as well. These type of mysterious new characters tend to tie in with the overarching Org plot, a plot which has very unusually barely been touched since file 704. Couldn't these new characters be the gathering before the storm (against the Organization)?

Heck, someone should know how to fight when they seriously go up against them...

Also want to note that most characters who get a chapter named after them are quickly gone. And also there are at least three new characters in every case: The bad person, the victim, and a few suspects.

Yes... because hand to hand combat training is TOTALLY not a part of FBI field training at Marine Corps Base Quantico (where FBI, and DEA hold their training). And I'm sure those killers in the BO learn more than just how to shoot a gun.

Fact: Any law enforcement officer is required to learn how to fight and subdue hostiles. All MPD officers have such training, even though we don't see them fighting much.

I'm realy convinced it is Eisuke in disguise...
for several reasons:

- If he just take off his glasses and let push his hair, he would look like the rival

- he surely learned that martial art with his father's CIA collegues

- He seems to be interested in that murder, and xe know Eisuke likes mysteries

- He says Ran is his type, and we know isuke had a crush on her

- How the heck dos he knows Conan's name?

Some things are off for sure.
The "case" in wich Conan is involved right now seems less and less interesting.
It's been bugging me that hard that I only got 2h sleep last night but I jumped to several conclusions and I think I'm half way thru.
Even thought that no Character who has a Chapter named after him never was there long enough I think this may be the solution.
Inversed Logic
Gosho did a lot of stuff and we all expect him to keep it going like that.
What if that all was a decoy to mislead us? Would be possible right, right ?
If we assume it's Akai what could Gosho accomplish with that? What would be his aim?
For Akai to make contact with Conan there would be better way much better ways but Akai doesn't want to be discovered and so he approaches Conan (Ran and Sonoko) on the Bus because there won't be any people to tell if they talked or not. Hide in the crowd
Still there is something that doesn't fit. We all know that Shuu is good with guns but was he good with Material Arts? Who knows. What do we know about Shuu? If you think we only know his Job and what part of this he is good at. Nothing more nothing less. Okay some relationships but that can be put aside for now.

If we assume it's Vermonth we don't really have any Idea what she wants to do. She had several opputunities to kill Conan but she didn't. So why would she be back? There is no reason or the Boss decided to get rid of that little fellow. But why now why not right after he interfiered with their business?

Eisuke? He did his part and said goodbye. Do we see a reason to let him back in? Even thought he was awesome with his deductions about Conan=Shinichi he was there to tell us that it can be revealed.

Maybe we are seeing things that aren't there and he is just a new Random Guy who happens to have a Crash on Ran...
Some thoughts about that.
Gosho did everything to keep Ran and Shinichis relationship going. Many hardships many bad times. Jealousy and all that stuff they still stick together!
It wouldn't make any sense if Gosho suddenly decided to let them part. Ran is the one thing that Shinichi loves more than his cases and just think what would happen if Ran would run of with another guy! I don't want to think about that. And I know that good old Kogorou would have something to say about that (given the fact that he can't really say something because he parted with Eri, but never divorced!)
