Yes, that is correct.  And his stat spread is 91 HP, 90 Attack, 106 Defense, 130 Special Attack, 106 Special Defense, 77 Speed.  Plus, he packs Flash Fire.
I see. Flash Fire is surely useful, eliminating the 2*0,5=1 of Fire moves.

I had a Crobat with Confuse Ray,Toxic,Fly and Giga Drain. It was pretty annoying since he outsped almost everyone ;D But Steel types ruined everything :( Luckily, in Silver there were only 6 Steel type pokemon.

Don't forget Flash Fire's second effect.  Not only does it make it immune to fire, it then gets a 1.5x boost to its own fire attacks after Flash Fire activates.

I do remember. I remember seeing in a double battle a Typholosion attacking a Houndoom to activate its Flash Fire while Houndoom used Sunny Day.

I just tend to give my Pokemon an even spread of moves. For example, I taught my Ho-oh Fly, Charge Beam and Giga Drain in addition to Sacred Fire, so it's supereffective on a wide range of types (though I need to raise its speed because if a tock move gets in first, i'm dead :'( )

Random non-game related question: in the anime, Ash and Gary are meant to be ten when they get their first Pokemon, right? So why the hell is Gary driving a red sports car??

Other random question: also, why does he have an entourage of stereotypically slutty-looking cheerleaders? He's ten. Most boys I know believed in cooties until they were fourteen.

Final random question: why aren't these kids in school??

My friends and I were feeding our nostalgia with videos of the first season of Pokemon, taped back when it was on SMTV Live every morning XD

1) Because he is the grandson of SuperPopular Prof.Oak.
2) Idem.
3) I always wandered why we can't see dogs, cats or any other domestical pets xD If I recall correctly, there were Pokemon schools.
Match class: Buy 3 Burn Heals, sell 10 Harbor Mails and 3 Super Potion, how much do we got left?

1) So basically, he's just badass XDXD
2) Idem.
3) There are, but you only really see very little kids in them, at least in the games. "Schoolboy" trainers always look like they're about seven.

And yeah, I suppose the thing was meant to be that in Planet Pokemon they have Pokemon instead of ordinary animals; like, people have Growlithe and Poochyena instead of pet dogs, and Giovanni has Persian for his Blofeld thing.

Then again, Lt Surge claimed to have lived in the USA, and I think Fantina was meant to be French. So are they implying that Kanto, Johto etc are somewhere on this planet, just have entirely seperate wildlife?

Maybe... ::)

In the game, you can always find the Gentleman who travels around the world. He always have Growlithe and Ponyta, in other words, a dog and a horse :P
