i've worked in a cafe before and i'd like to say that it would be near impossible to stick a peeled slice of lemon on a glass, it would be too wet and floppy to stay on. the peel does help to keep the shape, yes. and normally lemon slices are just put on drinks as a garnish, i think, i don't think people usually eat or even suck on them...

im quite clueless about the case this time around so i won't add anything more :X

You're right, the lemon can't be peeled to keep its shape. I don't see anything weird in eating lemon. Some time ago I liked to suck lemon slices (unpeeled), later I found out that this acid in lemon can ruined my teeth, so I stoped doing that. But I don't think people usually do that on the parties, I guess it would look creepy. In current case I guess the victim just put the lemon inside his mouth to make good expression of being poisoned (he can't stand sour things), but he actually was poisoned by that lemon. The wife put the slice of lemon after his attack and then she threw it away. That's what I think. We will see if I was right or not.

The case seems to have gone down pretty much like I predicted, with some details wrong but the main framework correct. Lol, Kogoro is really starting to figure out the darting trick this time. He protects his neck, but get's shot in the forehead instead. Scary, scary. Midori getting drunk while angry at Megure is cute, especially when he reveals where her chocolate is. I totally didn't think she was the type to get herself sodded like that. A Megure romance case would be cute.  And Makoto appeared. I wish he would show up in a case... and too bad Kobayashi didn't appear.

Some time ago I liked to suck lemon slices (unpeeled), later I found out that this acid in lemon can ruined my teeth, so I stoped doing that.

It's true, but only if you do it too often. Doing it every now and then (for some reason I'm thinking once a month, go figure out why) can actually clean your teeth as well.

I put it out in this thread since though directly not a spoiler but a possible easter egg it should be here rather than in general discussion.

I was only a bit wondering why Aoyama broke the usual 25-chapter roaster of main plot related cases, but just recently I found he might have had recently put a possible sublime message in the story arc.

Sour mash is a distillation process invented and applied in Kentucky. It is neither the type or the flavor of the whisky. In the process the mixture of grain, malt and water is conditioned with previously alcohol-freed mash. The process is used in bourbon and Tennessee whiskey, one such brand is Maker's Mark.

I'm not saying that it is a metaphor for Akai getting rid of his former taint to evolve into something pure, or that it is real, just that it is possible, and if so can be interpreted as a clear distinction between Okiya and Bourbon

Well, of course it could have been over-thinking, just wanted to say that it did mention a pun on black spy, which might be a pour bourbon and the other one is getting distilled from it, like "getting reborn" but still has the core element.
