Yes, it is correct. File 1023 will be released in the first issue of the 2019 magazine. Even if it is released in December, it is part of the 2019 magazine. File 1022 was the last file in the 2018 magazine. Similarly, you were able to buy a 2019 car last month.Kor wrote:No, that's incorrect. Issue #1 of Shonen Sunday is released in December. This honestly looks a bit like back-paddling, but that aside, it's important to make this distinction cause other people may get confused.dylanborja wrote:Yes, it is correct. This statement is just unnecessarily misleading (without explaining why that's the case in the first place) because our conceptualisation of when a year begins or ends isn't based on when a Japanese magazine restarts its rotation, but on the most commonly used calendar. And dare I say, whatever the magazine issue is technically labeled as doesn't truly matter (to us especially) as much as the de facto date it gets released on.File 1022 was the last file of the year.

I apologize for not making myself clear to begin with. I was merely making an observation. It was not my intention to confuse or mislead anyone or start a debate about a subject that, I agree, does not truly matter.Kor wrote:This honestly looks a bit like back-paddling, but that aside, it's important to make this distinction cause other people may get confused.dylanborja wrote:Yes, it is correct. “Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

The Mystery of Conan Edogawa.
Arguably one of the best attempts at tackling the story of "Ran discovering the secret behind Conan". It's strong point is taking a common plot for Detective Conan fan fics and presenting it in a fresh manner such as:
- Touching on things that aren't dealt with in the show or discussed much.
- While there is some understanding towards Conan's predicament, the fic doesn't ignore the problematic approach he takes towards keeping quiet.
So, do yourself a favor and read this. I only wish I could so something half as decent.
