So the legends were true... Hopefully it will be more character heavy on Amuro himself rather than M20-type.

Surely this is only within the context of Japanese anime movies, right?

Yes.

Actuals are out : 1.287 B yen, 988k admissions. Amazing of course but way below estimates. :(

Estimates based on Movie 20? I think that one even managed to make the Top 100 highest grossing Japanese films, at some point.

I'd be stunned if Movie 21 topped Movie 20 at the box office, when all's said and done.
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”
“Education never ends... it is a series of lessons, with the greatest for the last.”

Yes, estimates using the M20 multiplier. Basically about 65% of Japan's theaters release their numbers live, which are then used for estimates. But while those theaters represented 61% of Conan opening weekend admissions last year, they represented 68% of admissions this year, for some reason.

Didn't see anyone posting spoilers yet, so here are some tidbits that Fuji shared on the spoilers cbox.

Spoiler warning obviously.
Spoiler:
Fujiwara: So, I can confirm that Amuro's voice saying "Zero" in the M22 teaser is definitely a thing. Yay. ;V

Fujiwara: On the plus side, M21 is not half bad, actually.

Fujiwara: Very Heiji-centric, but Heiji is more like old Heiji than new annoying Heiji.

Fujiwara: The chipmunk detective makes an appearance.

Fujiwara: Momiji is kinda important and not very interesting, but it's more of a side-story going on, I guess. The reason she calls Heiji her future husband is ridiculous, of course.

Fujiwara: Kazuha ends up playing a lot of Karuta and isn't really hanging out with Heiji and Conan most of the time, which is a blessing.

Fujiwara: I wonder how they're gonna resolve the Momiji thing in the manga now though, since rehashing the same thing seems awkward?

Fujiwara: [in reply to waka] Not sure about the fire you refer to, but probably? There are, um, a lot of explosions.
Fujiwara: Even for Conan movie standards. :x

Fujiwara: The action is ridiculous as always.

Fujiwara: Kor: @fuji: wait, is the Momiji thing resolved in the movie itself? <-- It kinda is.

Fujiwara: Kor: Does the misunderstanding get cleared? <-- It does.

That voice...It's definitely Amuro's, I think. From that teaser, there's going to be a major blackout in Tokyo during this movie.

If that's Korean website and stuff... I just want to ask whether Koreans sub or dub the DC movies?

I have watched movie 20 for first time with Korean Dub, it wasn't bad if you get use to the voice actors.
They definitely dub their movies to Korean.

Ai and Vermouths voice actors were Great, so was Gin and akai. The only voices I hated were for the DB, so If movie 21 is dubbed with Korean, I would watch it 100%

To talk about some of them:
18:55 悲しみのエチェード - There's something beautiful about this piano song. Classical and sharp.
21:53 おもひで - Too bad this is so short. This is one of those simple themes that gets actually enhanced by the added tones. Kind of like Kogoro's theme from M17 this should have been longer, it's so nice.
I guess this is supposed to be a suspense theme. I feel like this is something that would fit in a series like Higurashi. It's simple but different.
Another simple one. This sounds like it should be used in the next Conan 3DS game.
Just a chill song, I can see it being decent for build-up moments.
Kind of a Tropical Land theme-typish I guess.
38:03 失踪の謎 - This track greatly represents the unnecessity of the on-repeat synthetisator tones that play in the backgrounds of these great violin and piano tracks that they can clearly still make. Just listen to it, it would be better without the potato cube tunes in the background.
What a weird track. What could it be good for... Sounds like something from Tomba.
DC final boss theme.

But mostly I want these to transition to the anime. They give off a nice japanese folk song atmosphere:
0:00 忍び寄る影
0:44 クライム
1:25 小倉百人一首
20:07 双葉の調べ
27:43 阿笠博士の段 - This gave me a main theme feel (not DC). Short. Damn shame.
Very short.
At first I thought it'd be an average DC action track but this is different. Has a bit of the main theme in there too, really like this one.
II - This second version sounds even better. Sharper instruments.
