Spoiler:
Wow... we are starting bloody with a teenage killer? Scary.
When was the last time we had a teenage killer? (The previous kendo case?)
I wonder if Gosho is gonna give out clues about blindness(that we can use for the Rum plot).
DC's Awesome Qoutes:
Spoiler:
Bourbon:''A child's curiosity and a detective's spirit of inquiry do have much in common'' Vermouth:''A secret makes a woman, woman'' Mary/Gin:''It's like encountering a demon in the darkness...'' Akai Shuichi:''Fear of death is worse than death itself'' Shinichi Kudo:''following the smell of blood to arrive upon a crime scene, using every one of your senses to hunt the culprit, then once you've seized hold of him, sinking your sharp teeth(your evidence) until your opponent gives up the ghost, That's a detective''

Spoiler:
So we have another old man with shut eyes... hmm... red herring or actual lead?
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

Spoiler:
Doesn't fulfill the condition of a red-herring if it's not implying anything(unless you are saying he's not blind). "actual lead"? possibly.

Spoiler:
My bad—instead of "red herring," as my first option, there, I should've said/typed, "it's us reading too much into it—these old men with shut eyes aren't actual leads at all."

It's a pretty decent start so far. I wonder if the culprit is going to say in the end though for leaving the old man alive.
Hopefully Heiji will hop in soon so we can get some dialogue going and I would like for a really long case again...
i wonder why'd gosho gives okita appearances again since 2002 (in anime)? Is he going to be a plot character? It's interesting to see another character who resembles shinichi's personality a lot.

This was a thing requested in interviews, also this case just happens to take place during the 30th Anniversary of Gosho's manga career.
Okita is from the Yaiba manga. That photo of Heiji's mother from when she was younger, contains an image of Yaiba's mother (seen here in this interview thing: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki ... klet_6.jpg). Heiji's voice actor is the same one that played the main villain of the Yaiba series. The Zombie blade sword is from the Yaiba series, although it has a different name. Heiji stuff circles back to Yaiba all the time.
I hope that I can find someway to contribute to the community even if it's just random crack theories and looking things up for people who can't find the information they need.

Spoiler:
His personality? Appearance, sure, of course, but I don't think Okita and Shinichi share many personality trades.

Spoiler:
I see, well, we haven't started reading into it yet, I'm just prepared(since "blindness" is overall tied to Rum).

Hey, it's my first post here! (Warning! Might contain bad english!)
Spoiler:
Since it's a Heiji case do you think Momiji might show up again? There's not so much time to the premiere of the movie too. If so, then probably just for few frames, but still. Maybe she's going to be at the tournament herself? Although I doubt that possibility.
And do you think Okita will have a bigger role in the case? Like, help with some deductions? I didn't read the Yaiba series so I don't really know him. Or is he just gonna be another character who looks like Shinichi?
And if Heiji invited Conan for lunch, what case might he have for him? (Because we all know that he wouldn't just invite Conan without any reason.)
