Re: What's on your mind?
You can read more about the project in depth right here, but essentially this is going to be a subtitled video project of the rock band B'z (the ones that have contributed "Shoudou", "ONE", "Don't Wanna Lie", "Yuruginai Mono Hitotsu", "Q&A", etc. as Conan themes). The video itself is a live concert compilation of otherwise unsubtitled footage and usually we do that in English. This time, we're going to do something really crazy and try to subtitle that footage in a dozen+ languages FROM English and TO your language. We already have several people lined up with some new volunteers from yesterday (Thank you!!) and we'd love to see anyone and everyone's language represented. If you're not familiar with how their live concerts go, here is a subtitled video with five Conan songs. You can essentially use that to envision how the final video would look, just with other languages instead of English (the new compilation is all-new, though, with no re-used footage). If you need more, here is a feature-length compilation similarly subtitled that is, in my estimation, an excellent representation of their live work and what this new compilation will resemble (though more brief).Henry Gordan wrote:What is this?
Ultimately, in the final video, viewers will have the chance to cycle through any of the included languages at their discretion. Here is a list of possible languages, so if you or anyone else decides they want to translate a few songs from any of these languages (OR even one that's not listed!), we'd welcome you or anyone else reading this with open arms!
Arabic
Chinese
Czech
Danish
Dutch
Filipino/Tagalog
Finnish
French
German
Greek
Hebrew
Hindi
Hungarian
Italian
Korean
Malay/Bahasa Indonesia
Polish
Portuguese
Romanian
Russian
Spanish
Swedish
Thai
Ukranian
Vietnamese
AND ANY OTHER LANGUAGE THAT ANYONE HERE KNOWS!
For some background: This project has been one we were mulling for years, but the timing wasn't right until now. For a long time, there were people asking how they could contribute to the Weekly B'z subtitle efforts and this is the eventual answer to that. In fact, the actual work on our end is entirely finished—how far it goes from here is up to those that come aboard to add in new languages. For those that may remember, we did something similar for a Conan movie once (Movie 12) and that was a massive success and by far our most downloaded release. I love working with people in this community whenever the chance has arisen and I'm hopeful we'll have some fun with this one too.

Jd-, is it from English to other language you know or what? :x I can't translate from Japanese to Swedish :x
On another note, dad and his girlfriend had bought some Christmas chocolate for me and my sisters, dad told my sisters to share with their boyfriends and to me he said "And you share it with the guy you like" >__> Like hell I will .__."
Had a really nice day with my family anyhow, my oldest sister had cooked some really tasty vegetarian food

Indeed, it is from English to the language of your choice. We've already prepared eveeerything into a simple format so that you don't need to do anything but translate from English.KainTheVampire wrote:Jd-, is it from English to other language you know or what? :x I can't translate from Japanese to Swedish :x

Yes, I'm from Sweden, what's so shocking about that? :x
Edit: *doesn't have patience to wait for an answer and thus stalks through posts* Ah, you're Finnish. Shouldn't it be more shocking to find people from Finland then?
Considering you played my mafia round and I kept being late with my updates because I was late because of school, shouldn't that have been a rather big giveaway that we live practically in the same time zone? xD

Re: What's on your mind?
I really haven't noticed that. And I haven't heard about anyone from Sweden reading/watching Conan. And as you were "late" for the posts I didn't notice it as I was too busy to not notice it. And I thought you might be from Germany

I've known about Kain for a while. But I was surprised at first too. It's funny tho how there're more Finnish DCTP'ers than Swedish ones.
