Partly because that blackout (which lasted for maybe 2 hours) has now thrown off most of my week. Currently operating on pretending today is Sunday, because the errands didn't get run yesterday and need to be run now, so I'll do the laundry tomorrow. (I do laundry on Monday, normally.) Blackout took out Archi's sleep machine, and he can't sleep well without it. So he was stuck staying up REALLY late for him. Went and ran the one somewhat time-sensitive errand, and fortunately the power was back by the time we got home.
I need to make up the grocery list....
As someone who lives where I live, I would've said that you must've had a hard time in the past....
Now the blackouts last for about 12 or 16 hours a day so just a couple of hours feel like a blessing...

I wanted to take an early bath today and go to bed early because tomorrow is a work day but we need electricity to heat the water for our baths where I live and we had an extra couple of hours added to the current 12h system we have at the moment so right now it's about 10 pm and I'm still stuck waiting for my bath... seems like I'll sleep with my hair wet and hope that I won't catch a cold... again......
I live in a city in the north-east of the US, so a two-hour blackout is a little odd... at least, on a clear day in early October it is. Usually if we get a blackout it's weather-related. At least once a year a blizzard or ice storm will knock out power, usually for at least a day or two. A few years back there was a bad snowstorm about a week before Halloween that knocked out power for a week or more in some parts of the state--the trees hadn't finished dropping their leaves yet, which made the whole thing worse. This one... it wasn't even raining! Probably something like a transformer blew.... little too widespread for "car hit a pole".
Yeah I know about those... most of my American relatives live in the north east as well so I hear stories from them...
I could probably deal with a day or two when caused by weather (we have those too and they're not counted along with the daily one, we once had 3 days that were followed by half a day even though it was already fixed) but our reasons for not having power sounds a bit fake most of the time and there's a lot of lies like "power will get better" and then it only gets worse then we start making the "blackouts will get better" jokes XD

This might be easier to understand if you knew where I live and I don't know if you figured it out and I don't mind if anyone finds out but I don't want to say it here on the forum for anyone and everyone to see :P
Thanks for the SS Kamite! ;D

I just watched a movie. It's movie about two man, who lived their dreams. They were not friends, they were rivals. But movies are movies. This movie is based on real story. But in real life they were friends. In the movie they were shown almost entirely as at the top of their lives, not at the time when they were climbing to the top. They weren't hating each others even at that time. They respected each other.
But it is great movie that should have won Oscar.

The great planning of my school >__>
The university had an open day to show what sort of educations they have, holding different short lectures and such. That was all fine, me and my friend went to four different lectures, but the last one went on about 15 minutes too long, so we ended up being late for the meet up with school (that was five minutes after the lecture was supposed to end)
There wasn't a teacher at the meeting place so we went to the restaurant since we were supposed to go eat after the meeting (the teachers were going to give coupons), but we didn't see any teachers there either :x And there was a sign saying that they stopped serving lunch at the time we were supposed to meet up. I really wonder what they were thinking with that planning >__>

Conclusion: "This area is full of crap" and "It's a nasty place!"

I'm still baffled that 5 hours on my feet at work was far better for my left leg than on my feet barely at all for the weekend beforehand.

So my friend at school was very insistent at discussing dust, I really have no idea as to why, but I felt too tired talk about it, which I told him. But he kept going anyway so I tried explaining to him how tired I really was, I mean I barely heard/understood a word he said :x
I tried suggesting that we could discuss it another time, at that point he got mad and said that if I didn't want to discuss it, he didn't want to talk at all. Then he marched off, leaving me utterly confused :| As I stood there I realized that I had never seen him angry before, so I started worrying about him being the type to hold a grudge and considered running after him to apologize (even though it felt beyond stupid)
Then my phone started ringing, to which I got really annoyed since I was busy with worrying about my possibly dying friendship :x But it turned out it was my alarm, so I dreamt the entire thing :|
