ARGH!~! OK, yeah, I get it. I should have a copy of my medical records (I don't). I called the pediatrician, they do not HAVE my records anymore. The records were too old and were therefore destroyed. Yes, I told the hospitals to talk to each other about the MRI thing, no I do not know how to spell the name of the shunt, yes I know it's made of Dacron tubing, the hospital wants documentation on that. I sent the permission form (for the hospitals to talk to each other) back to the lady at the local hospital around lunchtime. (11? 12?) I called the pediatrician's office around 2. Why are you still messaging me about medical records stuff at 4?? I dealt with the issue two hours ago! Leave me alone!
I am trying to work on other things, and I keep getting interrupted by the message alert on my phone. ~_~*

That's why I don't want to live in US. We have some problems in Finland also but at least they keep my medical records. Except for army. I needed my vaccine record for my studies as we are in danger as we use needles etc. We also get free flu shot and hepatitis B shot. But back to the problem. I needed the record and I called to my home town's medical center. But they didn't know my vaccines I got while in army. I understand that there is no way in 2010's to get the data from army to public health care. Luckily I had saved the little post card sized piece of paper. But seriously...

There are a lot of reasons I don't want to live in the US. "Healthcare" is one of them. My doc is great, but a lot of the system is very not. My insurance company effectively cancelled a prescription on me last month without consulting me OR my doc. (Yeah, I got it at least partially fixed--doc changed the total level and it still seems to work.)
ACA (aka 'Obamacare', the recent set of new laws regarding health insurance) did some great stuff. It is now illegal for the insurance company to charge more based on gender, and it's illegal for them to refuse insurance based on a pre-existing condition. (Of course, my Mom did not believe me that this stuff used to actually happen...) This is really good for me, because I have a heart condition. I tried to get insurance on my own in about 2007, while I was between jobs. No one would cover me at any cost, because of the heart condition. Tried getting back on my Dad's insurance (like the rest of the family) and his employer insisted that NH law (a child can be on their parents' insurance until age 26 regardless of school enrollment) does not apply because they're based in TX. Notfun.
Ah, I'm rambling about random stuff.... I need to go finish getting ready for work, I have to be out the door in 20min to catch the bus...
