Oh god. Finally figured out why GarageBand kept giving me a hard time with recording my playing. Basically, my multi-effects guitar pedal thing only outputs to 48k, while GarageBand only does 44.1k. Hence my laptop being unable to handle the lag - which I thought was weird because my laptop isn't particular bad (jk it's the best stock MBP Apple currently sells)

Downloaded Reaper and everything's fine and dandy.

UI is super intuitive and easy to use, too.

You can expect a bit more recordings from me in the near future methinks.
