I just noticed how slow Case Closed publishes are. They are on vol. 57 even though they started at September 2004. Even the Finnish one got to vol 77 before they stopped publishing it. And they started in 2004 also.

Though I guess that may be true. I bought CC vol 42(which was about the highest numbered vol in the shelf). when I was on a language course in England. And that was 2012.

OK, the con starts on the 25th, but I have to have everything packed up by the 23rd because I'll be rushing from work to the con, and I can't take my stuff to work because there's nowhere to store it. I need to get my costume finished by about the 21st, so that I have time to pack without worrying about getting pieces of the costume assembled.
I still need to mark the leotards, cut, and sew them together. I also have to finish the shoulder puffs, and actually put the shoe-covers together. Then there's the arm-bracelets, the leg pieces, the ends for the antennae, the antennae themselves, and figuring out how to attach the long antennae to the bottom of my wig. Oh, and I have to finish making the chest emblem and all the other yellow dots, and actually put the headgear together. I can totally get all of this done by myself in about a week. Even though I now work 37 hours (or so) a week, and have a half-hour commute each way.

Yeah, I'm running short on time. Gonna have to simplify a few things, I think. But I want this costume to look good! Hikaru is a very recognizable character--I don't often cosplay very recognizable characters. And then after the con I need to start working on learning the dance Hikaru and Wizard do in episode 3, so we can get that ready for the masquerade next year... hopefully we can get into Cosplay Chess at the local con in the fall....

Well, a 10 minute cartoon episode might've just beaten the old Conan specials for my favorite episode of anything ever.

Not a remotely fair comparison for either admittedly...

Umm.... it's supposed to be raining at midnight. And then rain most of tomorrow (that's going to be fun to walk in, for a given value of fun). And then on Wednesday morning it'll be foggy.... and I have to walk to work in that fog.... ~_~* Please let it just be white fog, so I won't freak myself out. ~_~*

Then again, dark is bad enough... dark and rain is not nice either. Dark and fog.... not sure I really want to experiment with that. ~_~*
