Because I watched it dubbed at the time and they only did season 1, I never got the chance to see the sequel Higurashi series. So let's start from the beginning but this time subbed!

just stumbled upon the show Gakkou Gurashi which aired its 12 episodes between July and the end of Sept this year
I never thought that something that looked so moe-blob would f- me up so much....

The first episode makes it look so innocent and childish
like it was a carbon copy clone of something like Yuru Yuri or A-Channel
just a group of like 4-5 girls enjoying school life
but then there is a twist... a big twist.

don't even look it up, just watch the first episode all the way to the end.
its better that way.

Not only is this police inspector in Higurashi played by Megure's seiyuu, but now he's talking about a character named Sato. Weeeeeeird.

Started watching Detective Conan again after a really long break. Nice to see that it's officially streamed now.

I've also been following One Punch Man and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.

It's from the 90's so you know its gonna have Conan seiyuus. And indeed it does. MINAMI TAKAYAMA GALORE!! Or at least she is in most of the episodes. She's kinda disappeared now. :V

Cardcaptor Sakura is such a good series. It's kinda too light and episodic to my favorite series or anything close to that, but it's so disgustingly sweet and innocent a series, you can't help but love it.

It also makes me sad Tsubasa isn't a better series than it is.

Monster. I used to watch this series in the past but it was very dry and boring, but now that I've kinda gotten bored of seeing these new-age anime, it's pretty damn great. I guess my biggest complaint is that I don't like how almost everyone is presented as being super evil assholes. It's too over the top here.

Gakkou Gurashi. It's interesting and the twists are good, but I think they overdid the slice of life stuff in the first ep? Like, if they hadn't have had the twist at the end of the first episode I would have probably dropped it. But yeah, about two episodes from the end now.

Higurashi season 2 is basically not a horror series anymore. While I'm still intrugued, the lack of over-the-top crazyness is really missed and is being replaced with increasingly subpar comedy.
