Reading this over again, I don’t think it’s correct. “編集は” means that the editorial department is the subject. For my translation to be correct it’d have to be “編集を” rather than は. I’d translate it to something like “The editorial department fell asleep before looking it over.”. Still not 100% sure though, lol. Also maybe it should simply be called “editor” rather than “editorial department”… a whole department falling asleep is weird. lol Edit: I’ve asked another translator and he mentioned that 編集 could be the edited script rather than the editor/editorial. He’s gonna ask a native Japanese in a few minutes… Edit: That was fruitless lol.

Edit: I gave a quick look to the other translations and I think I have a few corrections, when I get the time I’ll look through properly.
