If I could travel to the future, I'd ask some questions. Like if they ever invent time travel.

Omm: Part of my life has been completed. Not to mention I now have over 25 volumes of manga sitting on my bookshelf that really needs to be reorganized. Actually that is a total guess because I have no idea how many Case Closed volumes I have :V The total is probably closer to 30 for all I know.

Re: What's on your mind?
The performance of FaustEric that I saw at the Fringe today might just be the best stage adaptation of a Discworld book that I've ever seen. It helps that FaustEric is already a really, really short book, so it's easiest to fit its full contents in the run length of a play, but it was just also extremely well done in terms of stagecraft. The set almost entirely composed of a) the Prince of Hell's desk (with a phone and magic mirror) and b) a giant, taller-than-a-person book with all their backdrops. As in they turned the pages to get new backdrops, most of which had descriptions of the new location from the book written on them in gorgeous calligraphy. The costumes were FANTASTIC and I want to know what sourcery these people used to change so quickly because there were only like seven of them. Their comic timing, ESPECIALLY the flawless dude playing Laveolus/Vassenego, was absolutely perfect (seriously that dude's Laveolus was immediately the best character in the play).
And they made the goddamn Luggage.
I figured they were going to leave the Luggage out. It's a magic wooden chest that runs around on thousands of tiny legs and eats people. Instead they made a chest, attached dozens of doll legs, and and put it on a goddamn RC car to make it zoom around the stage and chase people. It was majestic.
Also the lass playing Eric himself was an absolute trooper. She did the whole show with a dislocated knee. Without a crutch. She came back for her curtain call with the crutch but she did the rest of the thing with the least noticeable limp I've ever seen. 80 minutes, onstage almost constantly (due to being the title character), with a dislocated knee.
The moral of the story is that if you know somebody who's going to be in a Discworld play, don't tell them "break a leg". Narrativia will hear you.
(Also if you ever see Duck In A Hat Theatre putting anything on, go see it.)

Re: What's on your mind?
I think there should be a rule that a story arc shouldn't last longer than it takes a person to start and finish high school.
