@Mr Detective: Those are the Fairly Oddparents. Technically they're fairy godparents, and I'm not even going to begin to try to link that fairy system to any actual fairy mythology (although they're pretty on point with the fact that wishes made with fairy power often tend to go wrong)

Also, pixies are among the Fair Folk. Sometimes they're the same thing as fairies, sometimes not; kinda depends on the story, the location and the origin language

(I realize I'm talking about fairies like they're "real" but I'm just a really big nerd for mythology okay and the Celtic Fair Folk are hella intersting)

What Miaka said. The Irish say that they originally lived on earth (or at least on the British Isles) before humans, and have been forced back into their own kingdoms on other planes by the expansion of humanity. If you dick with them, or act with thoughtless cruelty, they will hype you up (there are SO MANY stories about fairies posing as injured animals or helpless beggars and punishing humans who treat them cruelly), but if you do some kindness for them and show respect for them, you might find yourself the recipient of incredible gifts.

Spoiler: one of my favourite stories of the latter sort

There is a specific location for this one, but I can never remember off the top of my head. Anyway, one day there's a knock on the door of a castle, and the captain of the guard opens the door to find a small boy with a wooden cup.
"Please, sir," the boy asks, "could I please have a cup of ale for my sick mother?" (Back then, there was no fruit juice or soda, milk would've gotten sour by the time the boy got it home, and milk would've just made her sicker.)
The laird of the castle is a kind man, and he orders the captain to give the boy his cup of ale. But when the captain opens a barrel and pours some ale into the boy's cup, it vanishes. Every drop of ale poured into the cup disappears.
The captain's suspicious, of course, that the boy is some trickster spirit, and wants to turn him out. But the laird, as well as being a kind man, also isn't an idiot, and doesn't want to get on the bad side of anything magical, so he tells the captain that even if he empties every barrel in the castle, he's to give the boy his ale. As soon as he gives that order, the next drop of ale to fall into the cup fills it to the brim.
"Thank you very much," the boy tells the laird. "Your kindness will not be forgotten!" With that, he vanishes.

Years later, after the Battle of Culloden, the laird's a prisoner of the English, locked up and waiting to be executed. As the sun sets on the last night before his execution, however, the door to his cell swings open, and there stands the little boy he gave ale to years before.
"Thanks to your ale, my mother got better," the boy says, holding his hand out to the laird, "so to thank you, I'm here to bring you home."
The laird takes the boy's hand and follows him out of the prison. Once outside, the boy grows a huge pair of white swan's wings, lifts the laird up and flies all the way back to his castle in Scotland.

(Pretty sure there was even a specific laird named, but again, can't remember off the top of my head. He was supposed to be one of the few who kept his land during the Clearances, though, iirc, and some said his lands were protected by fairies.)

It's going backwards and is just getting to the beginning of Hakuba's time inside the TV. Four Shadow's worth of at least notes, two of them are fully fleshed out, and the interim/precursor parts...

Have you tried here? Last I checked the links were in order though they could have been taken down since, I suppose. (Though apparently Baccano has now been licensed in English fwiw. But eh, they're not released yet so I still have some money left.)
