Sympathetic murderers

Post by megamind1988 »

Hi, i readed tropes from tvtropes.org about sympathetic murderers in DC and it says: Detective Conan seems to like having the murderer be a genuinely nice person put into an unfortunate circumstance, and the victim be such a complete Jerkass that you don't mind their death. One episode even has a staged kidnapping where the "victim" didn't mind being kidnapped, and hugged the kidnapper over her own dad. Harsh.

That is true, most of the victims in the DC deserved their death. Many of them deserved to be tortured first, then murdered. But in some of the cases the people come along even after the murder attempt. For example there's a story that a husband wants to kill her wife, she's put in the hospital, but survived. All in all, at the end of the episode the couple reunite, and the wife is even not charging her husband.
My dad’s a soldier blue I’ll be a soldier, too
When I grow older you will see me rescue you
I’ll teach you this old song so you can sing along
When I am dead and gone the day won’t be so long.

Isn't that episode 2?

Yeah, sometimes they're murdering to avenge a loved one, to take revenge for a dire offense, or some other understandable, non-crazy, non-utterly-evil motivation...but that doesn't excuse murder.

And i feel so sorry for them, if they feel regretful. (the tears are a good proof of their regret)
