While it's nice to be told by somebody with a stethoscope that all of your bloodwork and tests are fine, that you have no terrible illnesses or anything else that is imminently killing you, I really really wish they would find something to indicate why the hell I am continuing to literally crap blood.

Ok, it is nice to know that whatever sick I've come down with is viral. Unfortunately, this means there isn't anything the doc can do about it. At least it's not strep. Hopefully it will go away soon. My throat has been sore all week (and we're running out of ice cream--cold is nice and soothing for my throat). Now Archi's catching it, though at least he'll probably get over it faster and not have to deal with the full strength.

Still can't quite handle that he's gone. You have no idea what a huge impact he had on me. He's the reason I love words and stories and writing.

If the chat says English-only, it's reasonable enough to expect people to be speaking in English. I mean, I'm not gonna drop into the Spanish thread and post in English, that'd just be rude. *hugs BK* And while I'm against mocking or criticizing the way people speak English (c'mon, I'm Scottish, I can hardly campaign for standardized "proper" English) I do think that written English should follow some pretty standard spelling, grammar and punctuation rules (as people who've seen my Grammar Roman moments probably well know )

Thanks, guys. I guess it wouldn't have mattered if they weren't doing it on purpose, I mean, I used to have really bad English and until now I still don't really get the grammar rules. The thing was they weren't even trying to talk to each other. And I knew they did (it on purpose) because it got absurdly worse when I pointed it out, like there was that one guy who started posting random Japanese characters and that other one who wrote in reverse. Oh well. I should just shake this off. -_-

Guess who stayed up all night to finish homework, then took a quick hour nap before class started, which somehow turned into 12 hours being glued to the damn bed and totally missed the deadline totally missed the deadline to turn said homework in? THIS MORON RIGHT HERE.
Completely my fault, btw. Shouldn't have drink while doing homework and shouldn't have had my phone in my hand mapping because apparently I can turn the alarm off without even knowing it. OH WELL IS SPRING BREAK NOW I DON'T GIVE A SHIT I'M NEVER GONNA GET A JOB ANYWAY

Why can't I write right now? I can't seem to get anything down at all. For days whether I'm trying to get down some dissertation, novel or fanfic, every word's a struggle. My brain just hurts trying to think of anything at all. I hate this.

I had a similar problem, but that's because I was intentionally limiting what the story was about (read: intentionally generic).

Awww. Writer's block? I learned travelling to places you haven't been before can help. Might work for you too. Get those creative gears running.

Talking to people works, too. Sometimes all it takes for me to start a story is when a friend of mine says something random and then I'd be like, "huh, that's actually kinda profound, what if...".

I'd love to take a trip--getting some use out of my Historic Scotland pass in one of the castles usually does the trick--but I just don't have the time or money. My dissertation's due on the 14th and it just doesn't feel like enough time...
