Re: What's on your mind?
A few years ago in April Fools, several news websites reported there was a little earthquake that didn't cause any harm. At first when I saw it in one website, I thought it was a joke (even though it's weird to joke on something like that), but then I saw it in other websites too. Still, I was doubtful, and so were maaaaany commentators who were like "there was no earthquake, it's just a prank". There were also commentators who were like "it's true, I totally felt it", but the rest of the commentators didn't believe those comments and thought they were made by workers of the news sites.
It didn't reach the TV news, and I also think it was one big hoax, but this was never verified.
Oh, and my roommate in college claims to have pranked me during our second semester. He refused to tell me what exactly he did (never found out, so I never believed there was a prank in the first place) until my final day of my final semester, in which he said he put bread inside one of the pockets of my suitcase. Talk about a buildup to a disappointment.

pfft it could be worst. Imagine if a member pretended to get angry and leave the forums for a joke. Whoever would do that is probably the most pathetic person ever.darkest absol wrote:No, it's not okay to pretend that a disgruntled former mod came back to wreak havoc on a forum for an early April Fools joke. Re: What's on your mind?
It involved among other things: making it look like all the mods but one got demoted, making it look like one of the mods had their account hacked, making a fake troll account, pretending the owner of the forum (who hasn't been on in several months) was in jail and that another member was trying to bail him out, and using the screenname of an actual disgruntled mod who left some time ago to make it look like they came back. A lot of members thought the forum had actually been hacked, and were upset when it turned out to be a joke.kkslider5552000 wrote:pfft it could be worst. Finally starting on the hyped Shigatsu, currently dubbed as the current generation's Clannad. Let's hope it doesn't disappoint.

Re: What's on your mind?
I rarely read books that much, especially fiction. Never have the time or attention span to, really. But once in a blue moon I go through a phase of staying up all night to finish some books. That just happened again.
I read both Homeland novels within a week. Man, I really hope book 3 comes or out soon. As someone who saw each of the 4 seasons of Homeland three times, I suppose I could say I'd catch tiny little details in the show anyone could miss.
Here's the cool thing: these damn books CONNECT those little things together, holy shit. So much background, so much character development I can't even.
I half want to ask Carrie to marry me, half think that knightus is absolutely right when he said Carrie was basically me exaggerated to fit in a Hollywood production. yep, my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy and he keeps saying it over and over again, verbatim. and honestly I'm not even offended. I take that as a compliment. :V

Happy Fools of April, everyone! (Loophole! ^^)
Appropriately, there was no warning...

Spoiler:
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

Re: What's on your mind?
So because I don't follow the new anime seasons (barring one show per season I try to get into), I had no idea until a few minutes ago that a Haruhi spinoff anime is happening. Sad as I am at the main series anime being Half Life 3 at this point, I'll take ANY Haruhi I can get.

Re: What's on your mind?
Didn't really have a good day today. Might have been the cold and sinus infection, lack of sleep, lack of appetite, Spring break withdrawal, anxiety about next week's exams, or a combination of all. Feels almost like I'm in a haze and my face is numb and my brain not working. Not good.
I've lost so much weight since I transferred to this damn school. I think I'm the thinnest I've been since... 7th, 8th grade? Not that I'm complaining - I'm a narcissist and I enjoy being able to see my collar bones for the first time in my life. Not sure if it's because I don't feed myself well or the fact that I have to drag my ass to North side every Tuesday and Thursday, the cocktail of pills I take everyday to keep myself going or just losing babyfat, to be honest. Maybe I should do some sit ups everyday to get girl abs. HAHAHA WHO AM I EVEN KIDDING
The only complaint I have though is that my pants don't fit anymore. I can deal with one size too big, but 2 is pushing it. And I'm way too poor and lazy to buy new clothes. Also I hate spring fashion. It's either floral or dresses or Coachella bullshit, gross. I'd be perfectly happy to live in a world where everyday is perfect fall fashion day.
