Interesting. People are speculating that their mutual "liked" person could be either Shuichi or Shinichi.

But Shuichi is Sera's brother so even if Haibara loves him how would that lead to a clash since the love is not the same. Plus I thought Haibara was over Shinichi by now. Not speaking against you personally just saying.

Liking someone doesn’t necessary means having romantic feelings.Ai used to love her sister a lot,and maybe she considered Akai as a brother in some way.
I really just hope it’s not Shinichi,this would be ridiculous considering both Ai and Sera knows he loves Ran.
Also in his previous interviews(in 2011) Gosho said that Ai and Sera are wolves,and that their confrontation would be the next climax after the Bourbon arc
The Bourbon arc will still continue. I'm planning a different climax with a showdown between Sera and Haibara. It will be really exciting, since they are both "wolves" (laughs).

Just responding to the "liking" part. In the context of what is written in on the post card, "Suki" (like) when used to refer to a person, usually does refer to romantic love feelings.
For example when characters are confessing their love for someone, they usually just say "Suki da" (where "da" is just a helping verb like the english: "is" "am" "to be", and has the same function as "desu" in Japanese.)
the post card reads "Sera-chan mo Haibara mo onaji hito ga suki na no de taiketsu desu! (warau)."
would imply that they both have romantic like feelings for the same person and will have a confrontation over that.
I hope that I can find someway to contribute to the community even if it's just random crack theories and looking things up for people who can't find the information they need.

Anyway.. during MT case, Haibara kept refering to Shuichi by "that person", another proof that she has no feelings for him. He doesn't have feelings for her either.
This might just be a teaser that will end up in another context for sure: it's Gosho we are talking about. The person they like might not even be Shinichi. That is why don't spend too much thought on it.

As things are now, I don't see a true need for a new thread over this. We still have 2 more weeks to go until the next file, and currently people don't seem too interested to talk about the case.
If I see this discussion takes pages, I'll create a new thread and transport all the relevant posts to it.
Is the guy both Habaria and Sera like is the footballer/scoccer player Higo. Maybe Sera likes him too. Coz we already know Ai does.
Unless its still the boring old harem that every girl loves Shinichi and Ai ans Sera still both like him
