you say that, but you're saying this under the pretense that she is "Eri, Ran's Loving Mom"

but if she's actually the boss of the BO, she's a completely different person with a hidden personality/motives who for all we know could even kill Ran at the drop of a hat. :O

Vermouth is the "Boss."

Here is my idea:

Vermouth, having already starting hating the Organization, decided to kill the real Boss. Using her disguising skills, she disguises herself as the Boss [Or some lackey]. Since it seems he never gives out orders in person, it is fair to assume that he could not talk to anyone in person, and use a voice modulator [like Conan's bowtie] to make it seem like its the BO Boss giving out the orders. Naturally Vermouth would do this whenever possible, so that the lackey wouldn't take power for themselves. Or even use a computer program to send out calls to herself so that people THINK she is getting a call from the Boss, but is really listening to a recording, and she calls the other members [Or giving out orders in the presence of other members so they wouldn't get suspicious]. This would explain why she is the favorite and always seems to get special treatment from the Boss.

She allowed Conan to live so that he can bring down the Org and get rid of a fake "boss" so she is not seen as a traitor. [Ideally, a PO, or a FBI agent kills him as he/she puts up lethal resistance] And working it out so that there is no evidence [say, two incinerators are used to get rid of the bodies [naturally different ones so that the mass of the remains would not suggest more than one person]

I won't continue creating the ending I want here, but perhaps I'll do that eventually.

Congrats guys! Thanks to you Eri has just been premoted to #4 on my list of BO Boss suspects. It was the "Goro was the cat meowing in the background" part. How could I have forgotten about that?!
