That's great, Kain! It's always good when things turn out okay!

Okay, so I have my grad ceremony in less than a week. I know I paid my grad fee, but the office thinks I didn't. (They apparently never cashed the check.) And I lost the receipt that says I paid, so I have no means to prove I did. I don't know what I'm supposed to do at this point. And to top it off, I somehow got a cold in May. How do you do that?

I have a lot of worries on my mind now.

I'm very uncomfortable in mentioning this.
Spoiler:
My grandma on my dad's side has gallbladder cancer and was informed of it. She stressed and got high blood pressure. She was sent to the hospital and then discharged on the same day. But I'm really worried. There's less than half chance that she'll survive if we do surgery, so we aren't doing it. She's too weak for radiation, but we might try chemo. But how unlucky; the doctor said that it was a 1% chance of getting it! WHY!? :(
My grandpa on my mom's side had some weird swelling in his leg. Not sure if he's fine now, but I do know he was released even though he wasn't well because he didn't have insurance.
And my friend popped his ankle and broke his leg. My best friend and I were the only ones who didn't see it happen, but when we asked people thought we were being inconsiderate. I gathered some info:
-He broke his leg wrestling in an accident. He slipped.
-The two people who accidentally caused it feel really bad.
-He has a spiral fracture in two places on his tibia. I'm unsure as to which leg; I can't remember.
I hope they will get well soon!
Just trying to stay afloat in the hell that is life..

My mother has been feeling unwell for quite a while, and now she's in the hospital. She's also been depressed because the doctors so far don't know what's the problem.

I hope she's gonna get better soon.

Seeing your Dad for his 2nd time in the Hospital in a month is not exactly my idea of fun, let's just say.

I will say that thankfully it's two coincidental and unrelated things that happened that aren't actually that bad but still...

It's too hot outside, I just went to the store to buy food for the weekend (dad and his girlfriend are going to the summer house tomorrow and since they're paying I needed to go now) and I almost collapsed on the way back but I had bought some juice (which unfortunately is gone now T__T) that I drank and I took two pauses, then when I came home I sat down in the armchair for like 15 minutes. Then I unpacked my food, prepared some ice water and laid down in bed, now I feel like throwing up T__T

I know the feeling, though in my case it was two times in two weeks, plus he had to stay a few days both times

My uncle's being called into court because a few months ago he shot and killed a neighbors dog who got loose. He only did it was scaring the chickens and his [3] daughters (all 10 and under) were outside and he was afraid they'd get hurt. So because of that, the SPCA, who clearly has nothing better to do, is making my uncle go to court and be tried.
Honestly they left him alone all this time and now they decide to bring it up again? :<

If there's been a lot to do it can't be helped that it takes so long
And " he only did it because" is a pretty bad thing to say. .__. If it was my dog I'd sue him to death >:( I love my pets with all my heart, of course I understand his need to protect his daughters (and chickens) but saying ONLY is really awful of YOU
The owners of that dog are obviously horrified because their dog got shot, the dog deserves to live just as much as those chickens and daughters you know. Most pets becomes the owners baby.
So don't say "only"! Dear god, my dog was put to sleep just three weeks ago, saying "only" about a pet makes me furious!
And I repeat, IF the dog made a threat (not just barking) to the chicken and the daughters I really understand your uncle's reasons but that he gets send to court is really obvious, I hardly think the law supports civilians shooting dogs

It's odd that you mention something like that since something similar came up with one of my coworkers

If you don't like violence against animals, this might not be something you'd like to read
Spoiler:
So my coworker lives on a farm. There are chickens, horses, a bottle calf, their old dog, and some young lambs. On Monday of this week, the dog of their neighbors from the grain farm came onto their lot and essentially started harassing their animals (agitating their old dog, making rounds around the chicken pen and lamb field). My coworker separated the dog from her own and got the number from the collar. The owners came over pretty leisurely (driving over a part of the field rather than on the clear roads) and picked up the dog.

But then, yesterday something worse happened. The dog came over when my coworker was working (though her partner was at home) and headed straight for the sheep. It chased them around the pen, eventually honing in on one specific one. It chased it to a slough where the poor thing wound up swimming to try to get away (it's a young lamb so swimming was extremely difficult) and then even after swimming across the slough, the dog was still chasing it. My coworker's partner was running after them, shouting and trying to get the dog to stop, but before he could get to the dog it grabbed the lamb by the head and started shaking it like a ragdoll. Luckily my coworker's partner made it over to the two and separated the dog from the lamb and gave it a short punishment for what it did to the lamb. Except as soon as he let it go it went straight back to biting the lamb's head and shaking it. With that, he chased it to the fence where it just started to straddle and bark. Finally he ran to the shop, grabbed a gun and fired a warning shot to scare it off for sure and it finally left. The owners of the dog came over when they heard the commotion, and in response to him telling them that their dog basically almost killed one of their sheep, they just responded with "But that's our dog" rather than taking responsibility.

I adore animals and myself have a cat that I practically consider my baby. My coworker adores animals as well - usually her animals are so content that she and her partner can just quietly walk between them when they're resting and they don't mind at all. But this dog has made all the animals frantic and they can't get close to them anymore. And they checked the head of the lamb that was attacked and it had holes and blood dripping from them. Luckily the lamb seems to be in stable condition, but that is simply unacceptable. My coworker has even had multiple dogs wander onto her farm, but they would just hang out peacefully before leaving after a few days. This dog nearly killed just for the sport of it, and without the owners being anywhere nearby or taking any responsibility.

When it comes to pets, owners need to be more responsible. That dog should be on a leash. It apparently also wanders to the nearby town of its own volition all the time in addition to the farm. If its behavior with the lamb is any indication, how safe are the rest of the livestock or even any small children in the nearby town??

I don't approve of shooting other peoples' pets, but I do agree that dog owners need to be much more responsible for them, especially if they're dangerous like the dog in Sonoci's post. Barking is one thing, but if they're actually attacking small animals, they're a high risk of attacking children as well, and if the owners aren't going to train it or keep it contained in their garden, it needs to be taken away from them, for its own good as well as the safety of all around it.

@Kain D: I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry.
I absolutely hate violence towards animals. And I was told he did try to scare it off a few times. I'm mostly really upset that this is starting up again. The biggest problem about this (besides shooting the dog) is that he shot a firearm in his own backyard. Yes I'm sad that he shot the dog, but I can also understand where he's coming from. :(

Good :)
Well, I hope it doesn't turn out too horrible for your uncle. (Forgot to say that earlier)
