I doubt it, they've always been more than happy to overexpose anyone popular. I'm honestly curious what would happen if we made Rainbow Raider a thing.

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman (though the last two sometimes drop to Cyborg, Green Arrow/Canary, Capt Marvel, or Hawkman).

So apparently DC's making another Superman movie and Batman's going to be in it...?

I'm only getting the third-hand Tumblr news from Comic-Con but apparently that's a thing. I'm wondering if it's going to include the Dark Knight Trilogy as background or if they're rebooting Batman again. And I wonder if Batman's going to end up footing the bills for the obscene amounts of property damage Superman manages to cause. (Somebody actually did the math and Man of Steel featured almost triple the amount of property damage and casualties of Avengers Assemble O_o)

I have also heard about the batman superman together in a movie thing, I wonder if it'll be any good...

DC, proving me right one day at a time.

I have read this same statement aswell and from multiple sources, so we can assume it's the plan for now.
Spoiler: thoughts
This sounds really stupid to me because it feels so much like Warner being too scared to go angainst proven formulas. Sending people a very cold, "we can't figure out how to write for anyone but Batman and since reading their stories is just too damn hard here's more Batman". Also according to this we have inspiration from the The Dark Knight Returns. A comic that makes no sense to use in any capacity (outside of costume design maybe?) since Batman hated Superman in that story to where Superman was supposed to be seen as a pseudo villain. Probably is just a marketing buzz for people who like Frank Miller's comics. This announcement feels like the studio wants to do this in the most timid/safe way possible, and timidly safe is not the angle for a superhero.

In fairness, how much of that was the terraforming machine?

I seriously hope they will give some more female representation there.

They might do what a lot of JLA stories in other media have been doing since the cartoon and use Hawkgirl. And the last live action JLA movie (made for TV) did use Fire and Ice.

The quote from The Dark Knight Returns was just used as a teaser hint for the crowd. Before reading it, they made a point of saying they weren't adapting it. It does likely suggest that they'll be opposing one another at first, which makes sense.

Yes, I'm well aware of this, though I think I misread my source anyway. Still I was mostly annoyed that Batman is supposed to be here beyond a bit part at all.

I like it, I think. I imagine Ben Affleck will be great in the role; I just don't really trust Snyder to deliver on this. The guy has never made a technically insufficient movie--he knows how to make them and shoot them well and make them look good. The only problem he runs into are scripting related, and this one may prove to be one of those indeed.

I'll, naturally, reserve judgment until we can see for ourselves, but they have really, really gone out of their way to make it clear they don't even know what this movie is meant to be anymore. So many casting decisions coming out of nowhere, shoehorning in so many characters that aren't Batman and Superman... Relying on David S. Goyer (!) to work on it even though his only writing credit of any merit came on the Dark Knight movies in which he had a very minimal role (by his own admission).

I dunno. I'm excited to see Batman on screen with Superman and think Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck are good actors for the roles. I just dunno if Snyder has the script he's going to need to really make this the movie we want...

I personally don't like the way he looks. His costume just doesn't look right to me. Still excited to see the movie though!

I've wanted something similar to Marvel for awhile now where they make separate movies for the individual heroes, and then have a Justice League movie using the cast from the individual movies. Right now, I really want to see a Flash movie (with Grant Gustin as Flash) and an Aquaman movie.

I dont think the costume will be the problem here. Its from the seminal Batman comic, TDKR. I still dont trust Affleck after that Daredevil fiasco!
