Found out that a guy I worked with for a long time committed suicide last week. I found out that he'd died on Tuesday, but I didn't know how until today. :(

.... This is the second night some idiots have fired fireworks at the bus stop when I've walked Mozart >:( Also when we were only 20-30 meters away! Mozart jumped into the air as if he was bouncing ball
If I see them tomorrow again I'll seriously call the police, I hardly think it's legal to use fireworks there :|

Late last night we figured out what is probably a major cause of the overly-high electricity bill. (Our bill last month was around $230, for our one-bedroom flat occupied by 2 people. Compare this to my mother's 4-bedroom house on three levels, with 4 occupants and an electric bill around $140, and you can see why I'm upset.) The freezer on our fridge is busted/leaky. The gasket has a big gap, and the door is off-kilter. Archi jury-rigged it by sticking a magnet between the top of the fridge door and the bottom of the freezer door. That works until one of us goes to open it. Then you have to fix it again.
Came home from game today to find that our usual parking spot was taken, as was EVERY OTHER parking space in the driveway except the one second-floor usually uses. This is including the spaces that actually 'belong' to the business next door. Of course, at past 10pm on a Saturday night there was no way anyone was still at the business, so obviously someone (first-floor) was having a party. A loud party. I kept trying to decide if I should go downstairs and tell them to turn the volume down, but I didn't end up doing it, mostly because I didn't want to deal with going down the stairs only to come right back up again.
Sleepy.....
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.

The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PAIN OF LOSING A REALLY GOOD CUP OF TEA

Or having a blazing row with a lady at a Newcastle train station over a five pound note. You're the one who wouldn't take cards, lady, and it was the only cash I had. Shut up with your "toy money" shit. You're selling weak tea and shitty biscuits from a stall in a train station, you don't get to be stuck up. Besides, we haven't left the Union yet, our money's still legal--and trust me, shit like this is one of the reasons that we want to leave.

I quite understand the pain of losing a good cup of tea. Possibly more so because it's very hard to find a restaurant over here that serves a decent cup of tea. Usually it's all just plain bag-tea.

Fridge is still busted. The magnet in the door has now been replaced with a cheap pen. Kicked Archi awake this 'morning' because I couldn't get the fridge open. He changed the direction the pen was set, and now I can get the fridge open, but it's a pain to put the pen back in when I go to close it. ~_~*
Archi is using up the last of his paid time off (vacation days) this week, but we've had trouble tracking down anyone to hang out with. Finally heard back from one person. Wednesday we're going to head down to the Gate City to do taxes, which means I need to finish getting all the paperwork together. We'll also have to be scrambling back home Wednesday afternoon/evening because I have an appointment at the local library which was set before Archi told me which days he was taking off (and thus which day would be available for doing the taxes, since we have to go to the Gate City for that).

So tired of having to tell grown ups how to act. It's like I did become a kindergarten teacher rather than a traindriver. Yes, you do have to pay to take the train. No, you can not take your sofa with you. It is extremely dangerous to be on the tracks, not to mention really, really awful for all of us who are afraid of driving over someone. No, you can not drive the train, and no, it isn't as easy as you think. Please let people off the train before you try to get in, it is common sense. Please do no stand so close to the edge of the platform, you can fall off. A moving train isn't a safe place to let your kid run around in, it can suddenly stop or go into a switch which will make your kid fall and when so happens it isn't our fault.

So tiring. Good thinking I decided to drive trains and not be the person taking tickets.

So apparently asking my boss to tell me what time I'm supposed to show up for work is 'having a bad attitude' and might get me fired. (Because "employees are expected to have a good attitude if they wish to stay employed.")
Why is it so hard to answer the simple, polite question of "what time do you want me where tomorrow?" Or maybe the question is not simple or polite and I'm just not seeing how horribly rude it is. Or how complicated.
Honestly, I asked yesterday what time I'm supposed to be where for work today, and I STILL can't get a straight answer. If it keeps up, I won't be able to go to work for the day at all.
Oh, and this lack of timing and location is on top of expecting me to come up with the activities for the day.
