The X-Files

Post by Moriarty »

Have any of you seen the series?

It is quite old, but I would consider it as a sci-fi/mystery show.

It is along the lines of realistic, despite the fact that it deals with colonization by aliens. . .

By realistic I mean not ray-guns and photon-blasters kind of sci-fi. . .

If you have no idea you should check it out on Wikipedia or something

It was the best $100 I have spent in a while. . .

I LOVE this serie!

I have all box seasons plus movies, it was my very first serie that i've enjoyed \o/

And i know it's quite old, but to survive for so many years, you can't take credits of it, i mean, lots of series we see today has influence of x-files, for me, the best sci-fi serie EVER.

Btw, it was quite weird to see Muld... i mean, David Duchovny in another serie, Californication was a shock for me after all o0

The Duchovny appearing in another series shocked me too, as I only learned of it about two months ago.
I also own all the seasons, but only the "I Want to Believe" Movie

Well, i saw duchovny on californication long time ago, maybe 1 year, dunno, the important is, he is a great actor!

The role of "Hank" on californication have absolutely nothing to do with the old Mulder, and it's surprising!

It's like James Hugh, the one who made "Stuart Little" being Doctor House, who could know he would be perfect for the role?

Anyway, of all the serie's moments, the one i regret the most is the death of the lone gunmen, they didn't deserve that ='/

Yeah, i would have cried too if i hadn't hold it thigh  ;D

But the fact is, if they were supposed to die, why it had to be like that?

Ok, they saved the world, but i just can't accept, poor lone gunmen ='/

Btw, the serie they had for themselves i didn't enjoyed =-P

Talkin about the x-files, the last movie was horrible! So much to explore, like mulder scully relashionship, aliens, ufos and all that made the serie famous, anyway, the way it was, for me was like another ordinary x-file episode, what a pity...

I never saw their series, but I was happy to see that their -
Spoiler:
ghosts appeared in the very end of the X-Files
The movie was like an episode, but some parts were full of more action than normal episodes.

Speaking of the movies, could you possibly rip the first one from the disk and upload it? I found links to it on megavideo, but it is longer than 72 minutes, and I don't wanna be cut off half way through.

BTW I haven't seen the first movie.

though I knew who you were talkin about, you're the first person I've heard refer to him as James Hugh rather than Hugh Laurie, so I was a little tripped up at first too. :P

I didn't get it, is it incomplete on megavideo? I really don't remember how longer it is...

Megavideo stops you after 72 minutes of watching videos, and the movie is almost 120 minutes long.

I noticed, in the episode where Mulder is on the train chasing after that Japanese doctor, that in his journal, (the real and the switched one) That there is only 2 DIFFERENT pages. One in each journal.
