but instead, what do you do..
read the manga
or
watch the anime
or
both

I have been lurking around the forums for quite some time now but I haven't been postingdiscussing a lot yet. I have been trying my very best to avoid manga spoilers. I want to read it when the series is over.. 'coz i know the experience of waiting for weekly releases and inevitable breaks..←not complaining just to let you know..

So, the purpose of this poll is to know how many people in here actually JUST WATCH THE ANIME ONLY! I've been wanting to discuss things but what's the point if I'm the only one that I know that don't read the DC manga(at least for now).. I know people here are respectful and kind to those who are so-called 'anime-centric fans'.. but I'd like to be able to discuss with people who's point of view is that of the anime only. You know it's different when you discuss points with people who read the manga 'coz they are more aware of what really is going on.. T_T Also, wouldn't it be more fun if manga readers get to read posts from anime-watchers-only.. seeing how our point of views about the latest episode differ on their thoughts of what they have read months ago(corresponding files to the current episode)..

It would be more easier for moderators to sort out spoilers if a thread/discussion is started or labeled for anime watchers only.. again, that is if there will be a lot of people in this poll who will speak out that they only watch the anime.. And it will also make manga readers be aware that the thread they are trying to reply to is full of people who have not seen the manga yet.

Not trying to make a barrier between manga readers and anime-watchers-only, just want to lessen the number of manga readers who reveal jaw-dropping information and eye-popping revelation from the manga...

I have skipped many of the anime episodes in the 300s until the 600s and of course not up-to-date with the series be it both anime or manga (but paid attention to Files 743-752 (I think? ) ... Have read some of the manga chapters..mainly after those that are aired in anime form with English subtitles...

I still consider the General Discussion board a dangerous place for me.. I am like this: -_- *squinting eyes* when reading long posts or scroll immediately to the next post when trying to avoid possible spoilers..

Also, I don't think I've found someone to discuss anime episodes with. There's no point trying to discuss an opinion to someone I don't know if a manga reader 'coz I might just annoy them with my anime-only based arguments when they might already be aware of what actually happened on the cases in the manga.

I'm mostly just reading the manga at the moment and, of course, watching the movies as they come out!
I reaaaaaally want to watch the anime, but I'm not even up to date with the manga yet, which is my priority at the moment. Watching and reading, where I am now atleast, will slow me down @.@;;

I'm in the same boat as you though, atleast in the "wanting to talk/discuss" part, since, because I'm nowhere near up to date yet I can't really spend my time on the Story Discussion board because of spoilers. xD;;

DC is the only series, that I watch anime exclusively. That's because for a detective series, I feel the essence of the case,reasoning and deduction, can't be properly captured without animation. Really for almost every other series I primarily read the manga

I'd say that I'm an anime fan only, but I do read the manga cases which involve the BO or any other kind of progress to the series.

I watch The anime only (but I have just read the first 100 chapters in the manga to see what exactly happened to Shiho's sister because the anime had the episode mixed up )
I always avoid the spoilers but wow I was spoiled a lot -.-

I read the manga to keep as up to date as is possible on the plot, but I think DC works several umpteen times better when animated.

Pretty much both the anime does few cases much better (well not few... alot ep 174 is so good it makes me want to come) but it can be filled with mistakes and odd artwork

I only read manga for long time but after watching many youtube videos of Detective Conan, I have decided to watch anime though I'm just at the beginning (Night Baron case). I prefer manga than anime, because manga is more canon and there is no fillers.

I do both, but mainly read manga more than watch the anime.
I only watch the anime until 120, so I have a lot to catch up in the anime.
For the manga though, I read until almost the latest chapter.
